Game of Thrones season 8: Axed verse from Jenny’s song might confirm terrifying Daenerys theory

**Warning, contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2.**

Game of Thrones might have just given us a major clue about the Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) fate in the latest season eight episode.

Podrick (played by Daniel Portman) sang one verse of Jenny of Oldstones as we watched all of our favourite characters spend the evening in each others company, the calm before the storm if you like.

Florence and the Machine debuted her rendition of the song during the end credits too, and of course basically everyone’s been busy trying to decipher exactly what it means, so far concluding that things aren’t looking great for the Mother of Dragons.

The full lyrics for the song are:

High in the halls of the kings who are gone,
Jenny would dance with her ghosts.
The ones she had lost and the ones she had found,
and the ones who had loved her the most.
The ones who’d been gone for so very long,

Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones
Daenerys could become a white walker (Picture: HBO)

She couldn’t remember their names.
They spun her around on the damp old stones,
Spun away all her sorrow and pain.
And she never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave.
They danced through the day and into the night,
Through the snow that swept through the hall.
From winter to summer then winter again,
‘Til the walls did crumble and fall.
And she never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
Never wanted to leave.
And she never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave,
never wanted to leave.
High in the halls of the kings who are gone,
Jenny would dance with her ghosts.
The ones she had lost and the ones she had found,
and ones who had loved her the most

News.com.au are convinced that the tune might be dropping hints about Daenerys’ fate and is subtly telling us that she’s going to become a white walker, joining her ice dragon in the undead for all eternity.

The lines: ‘From winter to summer then winter again’ have been said to her way back in season two by Pyat Pree (Ian Hanmore), and very much sounds like time continuing forever.

To rejig your memory, Pyat captured Dany and locked her in a tower alongside her dragons, who luckily burnt him to a crisp and thus saving her life.

‘You will be with them, through winter, summer, winter again,’ he told her. ‘Across a thousand thousand seasons, you will be with them.’

On top of that, the verse: ‘winter to summer to winter again’ has been heard twice before, and seemingly relates to Dany as well.

In short, the song is about Jenny dancing with ghosts, just like it could be about Dany dancing with her dragons, right? Right?

But of course, to dance with a ghost you’d have to be dead first, so could this mean that she’s going to be killed off.

Game of Thrones is certainly no stranger to a lovely little bit of foreshadowing…

Game of Thrones season eight continues on Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic. Seasons one to seven are available on NOW TV.

Osundairo brothers accused of Jussie Smollett attack suing lawyers for defamation – but not Jussie

The two brothers who were accused by Jussie Smollett of attacking him are suing the Empire actor’s lawyers, Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, for defamation.

‘We have sat back and watched lie after lie being fabricated by us in the media, only so one big lie can continue to have life. These lies are destroying our character and reputation in our personal and professional lives,’ Abel and Ola Osundairo said in a statement given by their attorney.

‘Those who know us personally know we don’t have hate for anyone, that is not who we are.

‘We try to spread as much love and positivity with whomever we come into contact with. We will no longer sit back and allow these lies to continue.’

Their suit claims Geragos and Glandian ‘repeatedly indicated that plaintiffs conspired to criminally attack Mr. Smollett, and by doing so, implied plaintiffs committed perjury’.

During an interview on Today, Glandian accused the brothers of whiteface.

She said: ‘Just to be clear, he only saw one of the attackers. He saw one through a ski mask, again he could not see their body, everything was covered and he had a full ski mask on except the area around the eyes.

‘He did tell police from what he saw he thought it was white or pale skin.

REUTERS/Kamil Krzaczynski - RC173508B200 One of two brothers who say Jussie Smollett paid them to help him stage a racist, anti-gay attack against himself has won an amateur boxing title in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune reports that Abimbola "Abel" Osundairo became a Chicago Golden Gloves champion with a technical knockout Friday night at a stadium in the Chicago suburb of Cicero. Osundairo won the senior novice division at the 178-pound limit. Police say Osundairo and his brother told investigators in February that the "Empire" actor paid them to help orchestrate a Jan. 29 attack in downtown Chicago because he was unhappy with his pay on the Fox TV show and was looking to promote his career.

As a result of the alleged defamation the two men claim they have suffered extreme emotional distress, humiliation, anxiety, damages to their reputation, and damages to current and prospective business relations.

The brothers however are not suing the 34-year-old actor who also claimed they were the culprits in the alleged racist and homophobic attack.

‘My clients deserve to have their reputations restored,’ said their attorney, ‘Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, through their continued false statements and hateful rhetortic, have deepened the damage.’

Jussie was indicted on 16 charges after being accused of falsifying a police report and orchestrating the attack himself.

All charges against him were later dropped.

Shortly after the attack in February, Jussie claimed he did not see the faces of the men but thought they were white.

It later emerged the Osundairo brothers were friends with Jussie.

Game Of Thrones: Chances of Gendry dying now he’s had ‘kiss of death’ from Arya Stark

HBO
We’re under no illusion this may be ripped away from us (Picture: HBO)

In this week’s episode of Game Of Thrones it finally happened – Gendry (Joe Dempsie) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) finally got it on after some feverish flirting.

As punters from around the world rejoiced and cheers’ed at the sight of them giving in to their pre-battle wants and needs, it then made us wonder something a little more negative.

Now we’re rooting (wrong choice of word?) for these two to make it to the end (of at least the series, whatever happens after that is up to them) it’s only definitely going to be denied to us by showrunners.

Right?

The whole dang series to date we’ve watched on innocently as good-hearted characters were amped up and cut down in their prime – why would Gendry be any different seeing as he’s got a solid storyline now alongside Arya?

Only, we may be being way too cynical here and, according to Watchers On The Wall deputy editor Luke Nieto, Gendry may live to tell a brilliant tale.

‘Though a main character like Arya forming such a deep connection with a secondary character like Gendry right before a battle would appear to be the kiss of death for the latter, Gendry could play a surprisingly political role in the later half of the season,’ he told Metro.co.uk.

‘If Gendry survives the battle to come, he could be legitimised by either Jon or Daenerys and given House Baratheon’s lands, the Stormlands.’

Ah, remember this one – Gendry, the blacksmith, love of Arya, is the bastard son of Robert Baratheon and, unlike Joffrey and Tommen, has a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne (should his bloodline be recognised).

HBO
Long live Gendry (Picture: HBO)

Still, as Nieto added: ‘To be clear, a “Gendry Baratheon” would not technically be a heir to the Targaryen crown before Dany or Jon (though Baratheons have some distant Targaryen blood), but Gendry’s Baratheon status would be enough for vengeful or ambitious Lords to prop him up.’

We can’t wait to see Dany’s face should this come to fruition, just saying.

Game Of Thrones continues on Sunday in the US on HBO and Monday in the UK on Sky Atlantic.

Trust Me season 2 episode 2: Things heat up as Jamie starts to investigate the mysterious deaths

Last week’s episode of Trust Me had us on the edge of our seats, and it looks like the upcoming instalment is going to be just as thrilling.

In a preview for tonight’s episode it appears Jamie McCain (played by Alfred Enoch) is finally convinced by his late friend’s angel of death theory.

The army corporal befriended fellow patient Danny (played by Elliot Cooper) in the season two debut, when he was put on the same spinal unit at a hospital in Glasgow.

Danny was certain that there was a killer on the ward after watching a number of his friends mysteriously die, and started to keep tabs on his iPad.

When realising the authority Jamie might have with him being in the army, Danny shared his idea, and well he just laughed it off.

However, after watching Danny tragically die, despite being discharged from the hospital, it seems the protagonist is starting to realise that things don’t add up.

In the short clip from this evening’s episode, the ex soldier can be seen talking to Dr Zoe Wade (played by Katie Clarkson-Hill) about the theory.

As a new patient is being brought in, he asks: ‘Do you know what happened yet to Danny?’

Zoe reveals that they’re yet to find a cause of death, to which Jamie says his pal was ‘scared.’

‘He had data about people who die here and wanted to show it to me,’ he confesses before adding: ‘He thought that I could do something with it.’

Zoe questions the thought: ‘You’re saying Danny Adams was collecting mortality data for this unit? Why?’

Jamie confirmed: ‘He thought there was a killer on the ward, and now he’s dead.

‘I think he’s right. That’s not normal for a place like this.’

But despite her patient’s fear, Zoe brushes off the claims and tells Jamie that spinal injuries increase the chance of death.

Whether or not she will believe the theory is still unknown, but we’ll soon find out as Trust Me airs tonight on BBC One at 9pm.

TWICE have broken their personal record yet again.

The K-pop group are proving to us all that they can’t be stopped after releasing their newest video for Fancy on 22 April at 6pm Korean standard time.

Within 24 hours, the music video racked up 39,854,198 views on YouTube and we can’t say we are surprised.

The girl group’s achievement beats the time they garnered 31.4 million views in 24 hours with their song Yes or Yes in November.

However, the nine-piece have some way to go as of right now if they want to beat their peers.

Right now the current YouTube record sits with fellow K-pop group BTS who achieved 74.6 million views in 24 hours for their music video for Boy With Luv.

But TWICE have a lot to celebrate, as Fancy is currently the K-pop group music video with the fourth highest number of views in 24 hours, after Boy With Luv of course, BLACKPINK’s Kill This Love, and BTS’s IDOL.

Looks like K-pop is dominating the record holding spots for now.

Last week, BTS smashed another record as they landed a UK number one album with Map Of The Soul: Persona.

While Psy’s Gangnam Style hit number one in the singles chart back in 2012, no Korean act has done the same on the albums chart, so it’s a big achievement.

After combined sales of over 10,000 saw them riding high in the midweek sales, they hung onto their lead, nabbing the number one with 26,500 sales.

Amazingly, 68% of the EP’s sales in week one were physical sales – meaning fans were purchasing the physical record in their droves as well as streaming.

TWICE are here to stay (Picture: YouTube/jypentertainment)

Map Of The Soul: Persona bumped Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? to number two after two weeks at the top, with The Greatest Showman soundtrack, Chemical Brothers’ No Geography and Tom Walker’s What A Time To Be Alive rounding out the top five.

This is BTS’s fourth record to enter the UK top 40, after the success of the Love Yourself: Trilogy, and in honour of the achievement, J-Hope, V, RM, Jimin, Suga, Jungkook and Jin posed with their Official Charts number one trophy.

We thought 2018 was the year of BTS (again), but it seems like 2019 is going to be another winning time for the group – and for the K-pop genre in general by the looks of things.

Katie Price is concerned that she ‘may lose boyfriend Kris Boyson’ as she ‘struggles to balance her parenting duties with partying’ and having fun.

Sources close to Katie have alleged that ‘anything to do with the kids is an afterthought’ at the moment as she is ‘adamant’ that she needs a ‘break from parenting’ as she focuses her time and effort on her romance with 30-year-old Kris.

‘She feels as though she’s been through so much these past couple of years, she deserves some fun and a summer away,’ an insider has claimed, suggesting that ‘of course she loves her children, but she’s worried she’s going to lose Kris if they’re always stuck at home when he wants to be out partying’.

Katie price said she wants to adopt a nigerian orphan OMGGGG: This Morning INSTAGRAM / Katie Price
Katie has five children (Picture: Instagram)

Speaking to Heat magazine, the source alleged that Katie, 40, ‘really feels as thought Kris could be her last chance at happiness and wants to lock the relationship down’.

‘Her pals can’t help but feel that Katie is prioritising Kris over the kids but she’s not listening, she just wants to be seen as fun-loving and free-spirited.’

Katie recently returned to TV with her new series of My Crazy Life – which has become more extreme than ever with a clip revealing she wees on the floor during an electro-shock exercise session.

But with every moment of comedy comes some harder choices – like Katie telling boyfriend Kris that she has ‘no option’ but to put Harvey into residential care.

‘I don’t want him to go, but the doctors, mum, everyone is saying that it’s the best thing for him,’ said Katie.

The mum-of-five explained: ‘What they can offer Harvey what I can’t, is daily exercise, keep him on a healthy food plan, he can’t go into the cupboards and eat.

‘He gets to socialise with his friends – it’s more freedom for him.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Katie for comment.

Will Smith has finally unveiled the trailer for his new film, Gemini Man, in which he attempts to fight a younger version of himself.

Side note: It is so, so trippy.

And the 50-year-old was all smiles as he made his way onto Ang Lee’s film set, in Brooklyn, ready to shoot another action scene.

He opted for a light blue t-shirt and jeans for the day, covering up against the cold with a bomber jacket.

But which Will is he?

The mind-bending film sees Will taking on a younger version of himself in a string of fight scenes, which has been made possible thanks to a load of ‘digital de-ageing’.

‘He knew every move of mine before I made it. I’d have him right there, take the shot and he’d be gone, like a ghost,’ he can be seen telling one of his bosses.

‘I think I know why he’s as good as you. He is you,’ a pal later told him.

Will the real Will Smith please stand up, right?

And the actor recently got a little deep when discussing the upcoming film, explaining the role is ‘an exploration of what one’s younger self can teach you’.

During a chat at CinemaCon, he told the crowd: ‘I’m 50, and [at 23] I wouldn’t have been ready to take on this role. … It’s relatable characters with some great action,’

He added that the movie is ‘really insane, but with guidance and collaboration with Ang Lee, we have done something that has never been done before.’

While Ang Lee admitted he was thrilled to have the original Bad Boy in front of the cameras for the part.

‘If you are a director, you are lucky to work with Will Smith, and with new technology, I got two,’ the 64-year-old said.

‘His performance is exquisite. We had to peel the layers of his experience, to the innocence of his [younger self] in the performance.

‘It’s something I have never experienced before.’

Count. Us. In.

Avengers’ Mark Ruffalo is shooketh Captain Marvel Brie Larson is in 13 Going On 30

Many have been left wondering whether teen movie 13 Going On 30 is actually part of the MCU as Mark Ruffalo voiced his shock at co-star Brie Larson starring alongside him in the flick.

Now 15 years old, many a punter is celebrating the (literal) coming of age film starring Jennifer Garner.

So it made sense to ask Brie and Mark about their roles in it while they ushered in Endgame at the Avengers premiere last night, right?

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet alongside his wife Sunrise, Mark’s reaction when he saw a picture of Brie in the 2004 film was nothing short of priceless.

‘Where is she?’ Sunrise asked, as Mark smiled and said of the image: ‘She was a mean girl! Oh my god, that’s amazing.

‘I didn’t know that. It looks like her a lot. It’s her!

‘How cool, I didn’t know that. Did she talk about that?’

As the reporter said earlier on Brie had said how that movie showed her she wanted to be a director, Mark added with a smile: ‘Gary Winick directed that, rest in peace Gary; that was a lovely little movie.’

Known as one of the ‘six chicks’ Brie acted in the movie alongside other mean girls including Ashley Benson, Brittany Curran, Megan lusk and Julia Roth, who bullied Jennifer’s character Jenna Rink and Mark’s Matt Flamhaff.

Brie is definitely not a mean girl in Endgame (Picture: AFP)

Mark also revealed he was just like all of us at the premiere, admitting he was dying to see Endgame and had no idea what will happen in the ultimate movie.

Having revealed some spoilers in the past, it seems directors Anthony and Joe Russo were taking no chances on him letting something slip this time around.

‘I got a script, but it was a dummy,’ he said. ‘There were scenes in there that I thought we were shooting that nobody ever shot,’

‘I’ve been dying to see it,’ Mark pointed out.

‘We had a chance to see it yesterday, but I held off because I want to see it with an audience, I want to be in that experience with you guys.’

Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas 25 April.

Xbox One X – currently the world’s most powerful console

The evening Inbox wonders if there’s any truth to Rocksteady’s Outlaws rumours, as one reader has already been put off Mortal Kombat 11.

To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@ukmetro.co.uk

It’s a trap

So now that we have an idea of what the spec is for the PlayStation 5, giving Microsoft plenty of time to prepare their own, are we assuming that the Xbox Two will definitely be more powerful? It seems so obvious that Phil Spencer would’ve let the Xbox One be so underpowered and I’d be willing to bet a substantial amount of somebody else’s money that the new Xbox will be super powerful.

But if that’s obvious to me then it must be obvious to Sony as well, so I wonder what their logic is behind given Microsoft such a helping hand. I’d like to think they’re not simply so arrogant that think it doesn’t matter and they have no competition, but maybe they’re trying to tempt Microsoft into making a machine that’s too expensive. Although that seems like a bit of a long shot.

Maybe they’re actually lying about the specs, and are lulling Microsoft into a false sense of security, and will then one-up them once they’ve announced? I hope it’s something excitingly elaborate like because it gets boring watching companies make nothing but stupid mistakes. Whatever happens though I definitely think Microsoft should aim to have the most powerful console, always.

Last minute changes

Nice review of Mortal Kombat 11, GC. All the more so because the complaints you had are exactly what NetherRealm has announced they’re going to change. What exactly they’re going to do remains to be seen, but it seems pretty obvious to me that the whole thing with the Towers of Time was fudged to make you want to buy microtransactions.

Maybe Warner thought they could get away with it if the rest of the game was good but the fact that they’ve been so un-subtle about it has kind of given the game away and it sounds like they’re going to rebalance things and make it easier to beat them without any modifiers.

It’s already put me off the game though. I thought they’d learnt their lesson with Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War but I don’t want to play a game where everything has been designed to fleece me for small change. If nothing else, suddenly changing that at the last minute, when it’s such an important part of your game, does not inspire confidence that the thing has been well tested and balanced. Maybe they’ll learn to sort things out for Mortal Kombat 12.
Purple Ranger

Take your time

I am fine with Uncharted 5 for a long while. I’m already upset that Naughty Dog did The Last Of Us Part II and think it would be a terrible waste if they went from that to yet another unnecessary sequel. In the last 14 years they’ve only worked on two different franchises and that seems like a terrible waste to me.

Besides, I’d say it is obvious who the new protagonist should be and you’d have to wait at least another five years or so until that was viable. I’m totally fine with that. Come back when people are hungry for me, not while they’re wishing you’d go and do something else.

I’m curious to see what Uncharted would look like on the PlayStation 5 but I’m in now rush. Let the new tech mature and then make the best sequel possible. Nobody needs Uncharted to become a yearly franchise.

Totally guessable

I was looking at that Outlaws stuff at the weekend too, the rumours about what Rocksteady are working on now. As you say, one of the main leaks was proven to be false but there’s another big one that hasn’t yet. The basic idea seems to be that you play as Batman, Green Arrow, and a bunch of other vigilante superheroes – street level guys instead of Superman or Wonder Woman.

It’s all very vague about the gameplay but it definitely is a game as a service title and it sounds like it’s trying to be a loot shooter, except without actual shooting. It sounds a pretty good idea for a game to me, to be honest, and I wonder whether the truth is actually still pretty close to it.

I have my doubts as to whether it’s a leak but the concept is something you could come up with knowing Rocksteady are working on a Destiny style game (as per previous rumours) and that it’s a DC game. Even the name Outlaws is guessable if you know your comic books. I’m going to guess it’s either true or the reality is very similar.
DragonPie

Currying favour

I wonder if BioWare would consider a remake of Dragon Age Origins as a way to get themselves back in the good graces of fans? There’s always been a lot of talk about Mass Effect remasters, but those games have been re-released a few times and yet I don’t think Origins ever has. The more strategic combat may have put EA off but it’d please fans to be reminded of it and maybe make it easier for the new game to have something similar.

I worry that BioWare are on the precipice here and their next game has to be a hit, either critically or commercially. A remake, to me, seems like the easiest and more reliable way to do that, then build out from there.

It’s a shame about Anthem but it was obvious that game was a dud from very early on and I think BioWare need to cut their loses and get onto something else ASAP.
Bruce

The Marvel formula

I think it’s a good point about the lack of jokes in most video games. Plenty of games try to be funny but the number of actual decent jokes – the sort of thing you can repeat to friends and reminiscence about – are tiny.

When you see a good action movie, even a relatively serious one, the best bit is often accompanied by a one-liner or some kind of joke but I can’t think of that ever being pulled of successfully for games.

Avengers: Endgame is just about to earn a quadrillion dollars and apparently it’s filled with jokes too, despite starting from a very sombre story point. The Marvel movies have made a science out of having both action, drama, and jokes and it’s a lesson that games have never got close to understanding.

One of the few exceptions is Uncharted and there you can see what a difference it makes. If you take out Nate’s sense of humour (and the amazing graphics) you’re left with a pretty mediocre third person shooter with mostly on-the-rails platforming. But it’s dialogue and sense of humour elevate it to something else. Tomb Raider does everything the same or better but it seems like a slog in comparison precisely because it’s so dreary and humourless.

Think harder

What I don’t understand about the datamining for fighting game DLC, etc. is why, when they finally realise the need to use codenames, do they still give them names you can guess at? Instead of calling Joker ‘Jack’ why not just make his codename ‘Flitzenburger’ or some other nonsense. They obviously knew the problem but by trying to be clever still let the game away.

It’s always disappointing when news leaks out in such an underwhelming way and I wish publishers care a bit more about keeping their secrets.

Horribly good idea

Wasn’t it just last week that a reader was asking for a Terminator game based on the original film? A playable character in Mortal Kombat isn’t exactly the same thing, but that is a hell of coincidence. Inbox magic sure is some powerful mojo.

That aside, I’m surprised that NetherRealm hasn’t tried to do a full-on horror game yet. They’ve had Freddy, Jason, Alien, Predator, and sound like Ash in Mortal Kombat already so you’re already halfway there to a sort of Super Smash Bros. for horror icons.

I’d imagine it still playing a lot like Mortal Kombat, so maybe it’d be too similar to be bothering with but I imagine all these cameos are both annoying Mortal Kombat fans that want more of their characters and putting off horror fans that don’t want to play Mortal Kombat. They could do the same with comic book characters too, given the inclusion of the Turtles, Hellboy, and now Spawn.

Although maybe if they didn’t want a Mortal Kombat clone they could do an update of the old Splatterhouse games. Those were sort of scrolling beat ‘em-ups featuring a lot of off-brand horror characters. Make it official and you could really have something new and interesting!

This week’s Hot Topic

The subject for this weekend’s Inbox was suggested by reader Grackle, who asks what old game has aged the worst?

Going back to a much-loved video game can often be a traumatising experience, as something you remember as being amazing is revealed to have aged less than gracefully, but what’s your worst experience with an old title?

Was the problem the old-fashioned graphics, the controls, or gameplay that seems too simplistic or unfair nowadays? What still works about the game and is there a modern equivalent that does the same sort of things but better?

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have revealed that Bad Boys 3 has wrapped production, sharing a snap of the pair of them looking suave in the sun.

The Bad Boys official Instagram account tweeted the photo of the co-stars sat in chairs at the side of the road, holding up umbrellas.

‘That’s a wrap. #BadBoysForLife 1.17.20,’ the caption read.

The upcoming action flick is set to follow detective Mike Lowrey (Will) and his partner Marcus Barnett, played by Martin, as they attempt to take down a drug cartel in Atlanta – with the two stars being spotted filming a dramatic action sequence back in March.

However, Barnett is now a police inspector and Lowrey is going through a midlife crisis of sorts so their mission will be interesting to say the least.

Joe Pantoliano will return to the franchise, reprising his role as Captain Howard after playing the role in 1995’s Bad Boys and 2003’s Bad Boys II.

Joining Vanessa Hudgens as the newbies are Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton, while DJ Khaled will be making an appearance although it’s not known if he’ll play himself or get into character.

However, not everything has been smooth sailing with production, with filmmaker Joe Carnahan quitting after being set to direct the sequel, leaving Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to fill the director’s seats.

He cited creative differences with Will Smith as the reason, telling Collider: ‘Here’s the thing. I love Will, he’s a great guy. It’s just, you get to a point where … listen, I always say this…

‘Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, you find me a motherf****r in the modern era that’s walked away from movies with those guys and is still working in some capacity.’

He continued: ‘I just know myself, man. And I thought what we were doing at that point was the law of diminishing returns.

‘I wasn’t servicing the story that I was really excited about telling, that the studio had greenlit.

‘And again, this isn’t to throw shade at Will — it’s your face on the poster, it’s your name on the poster, you need to do things the way you want them done.’

Bad Boys For Life is set for release in 2020.

Vanessa Hudgens has admitted that her relationship with Zac Efron ‘stabilised’ her during her High School musical days.

Zanessa forever.

The Princess Switch star, who’s maintaining her title as the queen of Christmas by starring in another festive flick soon, opened up about her five-year romance with The Greatest Showman actor after starring in the teen movie.

She explained: ‘We kind of blew up — it was this massive phenomenon and all eyes were on me and it’s just a really foreign, weird thing to go through — but by being in a relationship, I feel like it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded.

‘I had someone to lean on who was going through it, as well.’

The 30-year-old recalled the pair did have fights on set, but she always kept things professional.

‘I remember [director] Kenny Ortega coming round the corner with the most concerned look on his face, like “oh, no, is our movie going to fall apart now?”‘ she recalled

They broke hearts around the world when they split in 2010 (Picture: WireImage)

Vanessa also remembered clicking with her co-star immediately during auditions, telling the Awards Chatter podcast: ‘I was a baby, 15 years old.

‘I was like “oh my God, this guy is so cute!” So that definitely helped the chemistry.’

Who can blame her?!

The first HSM movie, which was released a whopping 13 years ago (feeling old yet?) saw the pair’s on-screen characters Troy and Gabriella fall in love after meeting at a karaoke night.

The stars broke hearts around the world when they split back in 2010 and, honestly, we’re still not over it.

Vanessa later crushed any speculation of a reunion when she told Us Weekly: ‘Oh, yeah, no… That’s not a thing that happens. I completely lost contact with him.’

She truly had to go her own way.

However, a year after the break-up, Vanessa started dating Austin Butler and the pair have been going strong ever since.

Meanwhile, Zac has been rumoured to be dating Olympian Sarah Bro, with the pair being seen together at a UFC fight in Las Vegas.

How times have changed.

***Warning: Game Of Thrones season eight spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk***

Emilia Clarke has a lot more to smile about than her Game Of Thrones character who is going through some icy hell right now

The 32-year-old looked pretty impressed with herself after her latest scenes in the hit show aired and left fans a little divided, disgusted or nervous.

The star, who plays Queen Daenerys Targaryen, looked fairly unrecognisable in comparison to her famous Mother Of Dragons costume as she arrived at Heathrow Airport to catch a flight to the US.

Leaving behind her platinum wig and medieval wear, Emilie looked a part of this world dressed in a white blazer and skinny frayed jeans as she was dropped off at the airport by her parents following the Easter weekend.

The Me Before You actor looked far more relaxed than Daenerys who appeared very distressed in the last episode – which aired in the early hours of Monday – after finding out that her new lover, Jon Snow, was actually her nephew and could challenge her claim to the Iron Throne.

With the battle of Winterfell on its way next week and talk of a battle taking 55 days to shoot, she definitely deserves a break.

If that wasn’t enough, the war horns of Winterfell literally sounded as the credits rolled up indicating that the dreaded Night King and his army of dead had arrived for a huge battle.

The airport sighting comes after she defended Daenerys’ less-than bothered reaction to learning of her unintentional incest.

Daenarys, of course, was too busy worrying about the fact she was no longer the first in line to the throne, which is a bit of a bummer.

But now the cat is well and truly out of the bag, and Emilia wants to remind everyone that it’s not unusual for her to accept the incest but get mad over her lineage to the throne instead.

She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘The related thing, to her, is so normal. She could have easily married her brother [Viserys]. It’s not a thing.

‘It’s a thing for Jon, but let’s just forget about that!’

Viserys was a prominent feature in the show’s first season, having a bizarre hold over his sister before he made the fatal error of selling her to the Dothraki – leading her to find her feet as the queen she deserved to be.

As a result, her stubborn brother kicked off and got molten gold poured over his head – which is a pretty memorable way to go even by GOT standards.

The throne will tear them apart (Picture: HBO)

But Viserys’s death also meant, in Daenerys’s mind, she was unchallenged in the line to the throne – until Jon.

Emilia declared: ‘The main thing is we’re up for the same promotion and I’ve been working for it for my entire existence.

‘This is my whole existence! Since birth!’

‘There’s so much she’s seen and witnessed and been through and lost and suffered and hurt to get here… and Jon doesn’t even want it!’ she added.

However, if fortune and fate favours her, that might not be a worry – as the last episode’s signature song seemed to hint at her destiny on the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones season eight continues on Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic. Seasons one to seven are available on NOW TV.

Brand new Line of Duty pictures have landed (Picture: BBC)

Line Of Duty has dropped fresh series five spoiler pictures ahead of Sundays episode, giving us a glimpse of a brand new character and a potential clue at H’s identity.

As well as Motherland’s Anna Maxwell Martin, the BBC drama has welcomed Holby City actor Peter de Jersey to the cast, and although details of his character remain under wraps he’s looking rather serious as he holds classified files in a meeting.

Other snaps show main H suspect Superintendent Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) back behind the computer impersonating the mysterious villain, or so he says.

Hastings has had all fingers pointed at him for being the bent copper in recent weeks.

After episode three, the nation was divided as to who the unknown keyboard warrior was who made a glaring spelling error.

However, since then Hastings hasn’t done himself any favours as he made the exact same typo writing ‘definately’ instead of ‘definitely.’

Yes, it could just be an epic coincidence, but it really isn’t looking great, is it?

There’s also a picture of Steve Arnott having a bit of a moment in the bathroom mirror.

It seems that Operation Peartree might be getting on top of him, with actor Martin Compson having already teased: ‘There’s stuff wrong with [Arnott] physically and that’s starting to affect him mentally and this will bleed into the current series.’

Elsewhere, there’s pictures of DI Kate Fleming, Sam Railston and Arnott having a debrief in a scrapyard.

What’s happened now? (Picture: BBC)

There’s no word just yet as to what exactly they’re investigating, but the red tape behind Sam would suggest there’s been *another* murder.

Just one more episode stands in the way of the grande finale, which has been extended to an incredible action-packed 90-minutes.

Will we get any closer to finding out who H is? Here’s hoping.

Line Of Duty continues Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.

Avengers: Endgame predicted to break separate box office records this weekend

$

When Endgame is released later this week the Avengers movie is tipped to smash a whole heap of records.

It may really come as no real surprise but when you break it down, the records that are up for contention show just how monumental this release really is.

Money-wise, in the US Variety has reported the film, starring the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Brie Larson and Robert Downey Jr, will rake in somewhere between $250million (£193million) and $268million (£207million) in the first three days of release alone.

That’s where the first record comes in, after its predecessor Infinity War took in $257.7million (£199million) during that period when it was released last year.

The same film also has the best global launch, taking in $640million (£494million) at the box office around the world.

Safe to say the way the Endgame hype is going, this movie will be hot on its tail and blast through the $800million (£618million) roof which just seems crazy to us. But totally doable, right? Especially seeing as the first reviews for the flick are overwhelmingly positive.

We’re just so ready for this (Picture: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images for Disney)

It will be released in China before it hits cinemas here and in the US and expected to reap big rewards for it.

Marvel is hugely popular in China, with Avengers: Infinity War opening with a record of $199.3million (£150million) in its opening weekend last April – despite opening a full two weeks after the US release date.

Staying in the box office, there is talk it’ll smash the highest-single day gross while it’s at it. The Force Awakens is the one to beat, after it amassed $119million (£91million) on the Friday it premiered.

Just how are they going to make sure they make such an impact in cinemas? Why, by opening with the largest release yet, with 4,600 North American theatres showing the movie as it premieres on the 25th.

That’ll snap the record of Despicable Me 3 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which played in 4,529 and 4,475 venues, respectively.

Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas 25 April.

The Chase contestant thinks elephants are humped mammals – internet responds accordingly

The Chase contestant stunned us all when she thought that an elephant was a humped animal on today’s episode.

Spoiler, they’re not.

Undergraduate student Phillipa, who is studying English Literature and Theatre at university, made the blunder during her quick fire round when presenter Bradley Walsh asked: ‘The United Arab Emirates holds an annual beauty contest for what humped mammals?’

Instead of chiming in with the correct answer – which was camels in case you weren’t sure either  – Phillipa took a stab in the dark with elephants, winning her no money and a lot of backlash on social media.

Chaser Anne Hegerty aka The Governess poked fun at Phillipa’s answer before they went head-to-head, telling her: ‘It’s camels that have the hump. And so will I if you get back.’

Audiences at home were in stitches over the answer too and took a moment to appreciate the on-the-spot attempt.

‘It will take a while for Phillip to live that elephant answer down!’ wrote one, while another added: ‘Answer 1 has given camels the right hump!’

Despite not getting off to a flying start though, Phillipa managed to secure an impressive £6,000 in her cash builder round and managed to get home and safe with the minus offer of £1,000.

Although she joined her teammate in the final they weren’t quite good enough to outrun Anne, who managed to catch them with 14 seconds remaining.

This isn’t the first time a contestant’s answer has caused a stir online, goodness no.

Back in February, 67-year-old Richard from Cornwall stunned everyone by repeating Jenny Ryan’s answer in the final.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.

Kris Boyson ‘tells Katie Price to stop going under the knife over fears for her health’

She'll be telling us about her plans for the future and seeking the panel's advice on how to move on from her heartbreak.
Kris is offering some tough love (Picture: Rex)

Kris Boyson is thought to have told Katie Price to stop going under the knife over fears for her health.

Katie has long been a big fan of plastic surgery, but it is thought that boyfriend Kris has told her he will be ‘livid’ if he discovers she has snuck behind his back and visited a surgery.

‘She’s always talking about having a facelift, or another tummy tuck, but he doesn’t see why she has to go under the knife and risk her health,’ sources close to Katie have claimed.

‘He’s told her that if she has yet another unnecessary operation he’ll walk out on her.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv9effNhZxa/

The 40-year-old has already undergone several procedures including face lifts, breast implants, and a nose job, and in December, her fans were left disgusted after a video emerged of the star having a face-lift.

In the short video, Katie could be seen wide awake as her doctor Frank Plovier pulls a flap of skin from her cheek away from her face in order to complete the surgery.

Slurring her words, Katie reassures fans that she can feel nothing – telling them that even her lips have been numbed.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BwAsA8-B20S/

However, insiders have alleged that even Katie’s mum is against her having any more work done, and is backing Kris.

Speaking to The Sun, the pal added: ‘It’s his version of tough love – her mum is also against any more operations so agrees with him. But it’s hard to tell Katie what to do.’

Despite having gone under the knife multiple times already, Katie – who is mother to Harvey, 16, Junior, 13, Princess, 11, Jett, five, and Bunny, four – has previously insisted she isn’t addicted to cosmetic surgery.

‘I’ve seen psychologists about it for a TV show and they said I wasn’t,’ she said.

‘I just look to improve how I look. I just seem like I have loads of work done because I’m open about it. I was talking to a well-known celebrity recently and I asked her where she gets her lips and fillers done, and she was like: “Me? I don’t have it done.” And it’s so obvious that she does! Why deny it?’

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have been spotted enjoying a Mexican getaway after Kourtney Kardashian’s 40th birthday bash.

The couple, who confirmed their relationship back in September 2017, were pictured soaking up the rays over Easter in Cabo.

While 20-year-old Sofia – daughter to legendary musician Lionel Richie – swanned about in a pink bikini and shades, Scott, 35, wrapped up in a pink towel and white tee.

The pair have clearly shrugged off the backlash they’ve faced in the past over their 15 -ar age gap, with the model pointing out that she has ‘nothing to prove’ and insisting she wants to keep the relationship private.

Speaking to Tatler, she explained: ‘It’s not like I won’t post pictures about it, but I like having my little private life.’

While taking part in a meditative tea ceremony on the show (as you do), Kourt said that Scott – the father of her three children – has been banned from KarJenner family vacations following some previous holiday drama.

‘Do you remember Costa Rica?’ she asked momager Kris, who mentioned that it would be ‘fun’ if Disick joined them on this year’s family trip.

‘Okay, but that is up to me,’ Kourtney says to Kris, adding, ‘I haven’t invited Scott on the trip. I feel hesitant to invite him because after the last family trip he was on, he flew out a girl on the trip and I’m just not looking to have that again.’

She added: ‘That was the last family trip and then I banned him.’

Kourt and Scott began dating in 2006 and had kids Mason, Reign, and Penelope before calling it quits in July 2015.

Britney Spears’s devoted boyfriend Sam Asghari ‘stepped up’ amid timeout for mental health

Britney Spears’s boyfriend Sam Asghari has stepped up and become more devoted to the star after the singer decided to take time out to deal with her mental health, according to reports.

The superstar announced she was stepping back from her Las Vegas residency, Domination, and hinted on social media she needed some ‘me time’ with reports claiming she sought treatment in a mental health facility.

It’s alleged Britney took the news of her father’s ill health, reportedly following complications to do with his colon, hard.

After she was spotted spending Easter with Sam at swanky hotel The Montage over the weekend, it’s now been reported Brit has been able to rely on her boyfriend through tough times.

‘Sam has totally stepped up and been there for Britney during this very difficult time in her life,’ a source told HollywoodLife.

‘She’s been crying and fighting back the tears almost daily since her dad got sick and Sam has been there for her, wiping away the tears and helping her cope.’

They continued: ‘He’s incredibly devoted. Britney doesn’t know how she’d get through everything life is throwing at her without him. This tough time has brought them even closer, she’s so grateful for his love and support right now.’

The two met when Sam was a backup dancer for her music video Slumber Party in 2016.

Brit’s dad Jamie nearly died from health complications and underwent two operations as a result.

She had cancelled her new Las Vegas residency show to be there for her family and reports claimed that it had ‘taken its toll’ on the singer and she checked into a facility to focus on her own health.

The superstar’s last post on social media read: ‘We all need to take time for a little “me time.” :)’

A source recently told People Magazine the 37-year-old is also trying to ‘focus on herself’ at the same time.

‘Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her,’ they told the publication. ‘He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well.

‘They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her — she just realised she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.’

The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik has revealed she’s shot her last outdoor scene for the sitcom with Jim Parsons as they gear up for the grand season 12 finale.

The 43-year-old actress, who plays Amy Fowler on the CBS show, revealed in a behind-the-scenes snap that she’d shot beyond the iconic studio set for what she believes is the ultimate time, reminding us all that the end is in sight.

Taking to Instagram, Mayim told her 3.2million followers: ‘We filmed what is likely our last outdoor scene yesterday … this was first thing in the morning and we both look a tad sleepy and my big ole face is too close to the camera but I wanted to share it anyway … #windingdown @bigbangtheory_cbs @therealjimparsons.’

Co-star Rati Gupta, who plays Raj’s fiance Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali, replied: ‘If you two were a singer/songwriter duo, this would be your album cover.’

Earlier this week Mayim disclosed that she felt extremely claustrophobic filming the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory, which is titled The Decision Reverberation.

‘In real life I’m claustrophobic,’ she began on her blog for Grok Nation.

‘I was not at all excited to be placed in this giant Mork & Mindy type egg thing with the cover closed.

‘The cover was controlled by a person holding a string that rigged the cover open, so there was the issue of human error adding to my worry.’

‘When filming, we would wait until the very last second before cameras were rolling to shut me into my pod,’ Mayim explained.

‘The only blessed relief was that I was able to see some light coming in through the back of the pod where the lid met the unit, so that actually helped.

The finale episode is a double bill is set to be a double bill, with showrunner Eric Kaplan telling Metro.co.uk they’re not writing it with a comeback in mind.

‘It would be hubristic to worry about that.

‘Even if we killed all the characters, they could be recreated as robots if anyone wanted to reboot it. We’re not going to kill all the characters, even if we did I’m sure a group of writers could reboot it if they wanted to.’

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS in the US.

Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner is all of us as he had a good old cry at the Avengers: Endgame premiere.

We feel you Jezza.

The 48-year-old, who plays Clint Barton in the MCU, shared a photo of himself crying (and rocking that controversial haircut, thank you very much) at the Los Angeles premiere as he shared the love for his co-stars.

‘Wow… words will only betray my feelings for this movie,’ he wrote. ‘This picture from last night represents … love … pride of my family, my friends, and crazy for my avenger family @avengers @marvel @therussobrothers thank you all #fansrock #endgame #premiere.’

The star went on to tag his fellow Avengers Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Don Cheadle, as well as directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

He’s not the only one to be getting emotional about saying goodbye to the heroes we’ve come to know over the past 11 years, with RDJ, who plays Iron Man in the movies, sharing a sweet clip of himself literally clinging onto his co-stars.

We can’t deal.

Posting the clip alongside Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo, the 54-year-old cuddled up to his co-stars as he posed away for the cameras.

While RDJ placed his head on Hemsworth’s shoulder and stroked the Captain America star’s beard, Mark clung onto his arm, with the gang giggling away.

Meanwhile, the Thor actor has been busy sharing sweet pics of himself with his co-stars as he prepares to say goodbye to the beloved god of thunder.

The 35-year-old posted a string of snaps with his co-stars and wrote in the caption: ‘Thank you China, we wouldn’t be here without your support. It’s been a blast. Off to LA now for the world premiere of @avengers.

‘It’s been an intense whirlwind tour but the most memorable yet. Running on pure adrenaline and excitement now.

‘Huge sense of appreciation and thanks for the opportunity to play Thor over the last 8 years and it’s all been leading this, the End Game. Can’t wait for you to see it 7 days time !!’

We’re not crying, we’ve just got an Infinity Stone in our eye.

Avengers: Endgame hits UK cinemas on 25 April.
