Always Sunny’s Rob McElhenney trolls Glenn Howerton and his modelling skills and it’s beautiful

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney has gone in on his co-star Glenn Howerton by trolling his modelling skills in a rather fashionable throwback.

Taking to social media on Thursday, the co-creator of the show shared a glimpse of once upon a time merely happening across Glenn during a sunshine walk in the city.

It seems Glenn has quite the modelling resume on his hands, after landing a campaign with fashion chain Uniqlo.

Posing in clothes from the label’s range, the actor was cutting quite the Zoolander-ish figure, and Rob was all for it.

In the most trolling of ways, naturally.

He wrote while posting in front of the shot: ‘#tbt to the time I was walking in Philly only to find Blue Steel on a bus stop.’

And what a blue steel.

The gang are back (Picture: FX)

The official Instagram account of the show replied: ‘That model’s bone structure is flawless.’

They’re not wrong.

Fans whipped out a bunch of Always Sunny quotes as they had a chuckle alongside the image, with one saying, ‘demonstrate value’ in regards to Glenn’s character Dennis and his acronym name.

It comes as we eagerly anticipate the next series of the show, with the recently-released season 14 trailer showing the gang is just as horrid as ever.

We’d expect nothing less.

Dennis Reynolds (Howerton) proclaims: ‘Humans are stupid and it would be best if we were eradicated’, before Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day) confuses a window for a two-way mirror and urinates on Mac (McElhenney).

Meanwhile, Frank (Danny De Vito) is keeping a cassava melon in a safe for some reason, and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) has to be resuscitated about being ‘poisoned’ in Guigino’s.

Season 14 comes nearly a year after the season 13 finale, which saw Mac coming to terms with his sexuality after coming out as gay, and the gang organising a float for Philly’s Pride parade.

When the show returns, it’ll tie with ABC’s The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest-running live action comedy series ever.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia season 14 premieres on 25 September on FX. All 13 seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow was unrecognisable as she made her catwalk debut on Wednesday for sustainable fashion brand Vin+Omi.

Wearing a series of outfits on the runway, Camilla strutted her stuff in front of the fashion industries greatest including in a black mini jumper dress and a red leather mini both paired with a striking gold applique on her face and a birds-nest style head piece.

Vin+Omi’s collection was in collaboration with Prince Charles, who allowed the designers to handpick 3000 nettles from his gardens to turn them into the garments.

It is thought Charles met the designers at a reception for the Positive Fashion initiative in 2018.

The designers have dressed Michelle Obama, Debbie Harry and Kate Moss in the past.

The 30-year-old star, who found fame on Love Island in 2017, has used her popularity to focus on conservation and humanitarian causes.

‘It was such an honour (and slightly terrifying) to be asked to walk in the @vinandomi SS20 LFW show,’ she later shared on Instagram.

‘They are two of not only the most incredibly talented people I’ve ever met, but also the loveliest and most welcoming.

‘Their vision and continued dedication to positive social impact and eco-innovation is nothing short of remarkable.’

In early 2019 she appeared in an inspiring documentary What Camilla Did Next.

Camilla, who found love with Jamie Jewitt in the infamous Majorcan villa in the 2017 series, had viewers falling head over heels all over again as she returned to her ‘first love’ of disposing bombs in Cambodia in front of the cameras.

Ahead of her trip back to Asia, Camilla explained how she has struggled with life in the spotlight, explaining in the one-off episode: ‘Having a relationship in the public eye isn’t always easy.

‘People can say quite nasty things sometimes, like I’m not attractive enough for Jamie, or I’m boring and he’ll get bored of me, and it hurts.

But audiences blew up Twitter with their support for Camilla.

Cardi B tonight denied any affiliation with a gang, after rapper Tekashi69 made the claim in his recent testimony.

This week the performer – real name Daniel Hernandez – was put on the stand in US federal court in which the rapper, who is currently in jail facing life imprisonment, testified against alleged former fellow gang members.

He turned on other members of the Nine Trey Blood gang – who were likely in the courtroom – implicating himself in the process, as part of a plea deal he entered into to cut down potential jail time on charges of racketeering.

In turn, he also named rapper Cardi B during his trial on Thursday.

He testified he became a member of the gang in November 2017, and participated in violent crimes including shootings, assaults and drug trafficking.

During the third day of the trial, Tekashi69 – also known as 6ix9ine – testified Brooklyn rapper Cardi, who had previously spoken about her interaction with gangs when she was younger, had ties to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.

However, reps for Cardi told Metro.co.uk today the claims made against the Hustlers star are not true.

Earlier this year, Cardi spoke about her teenage years when she used to ‘hang’ with members of a gang.

She said to GQ: ‘When I was 16 years old, I used to hang out with a lot of… Bloods. I used to pop off with my homies. And they’d say, “Yo, you really get it poppin’. You should come home. You should turn Blood.”

‘And I did. Yes, I did. And something that—it’s not like, oh, you leave. You don’t leave.’

When on the stand, Tekashi also denied he tried to ‘mimic’ Cardi’s rise to fame.

‘I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention,’ he said of the star, according to Page Six.

Tekashi also alleged that Diplomats’ Jim Jones was a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The 23-year-old was facing a minimum of 47 years and maximum of life in prison after being charged with nine federal counts, including racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offences and drug trafficking.

It is thought he sparked a deal after agreeing to speak in court over his claims that he was ‘pistol-whipped, robbed and kidnapped’ in July 2018.

Although Liam Gallagher has invited his estranged brother Noel to his wedding, he’s not convinced he’ll come.

The former Oasis singer, who recently confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Debbie Gwyther, explained that he’s offered his sibling an olive branch and ‘dreams’ that he’ll accept it.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Liam revealed: ‘I’m going to invite him. Why not, he’s my brother.

‘All he can do is turn it down, can’t he? We’ll see, won’t we? I’m sure he… I can’t see him coming.’

Liam continued: ‘Me other brother’s [Paul Anthony] going to be a best man. He [Noel] ain’t going to come, but listen we can dream, can’t we?

‘Without a doubt man course [I’m optimistic]. It’s just going through a bit of a weird patch. He says s***, I say s***… it all gets a bit out of hand. We just need to grow up I guess. Ball’s in his court.’

Liam and Noel have been feuding since their legendary band broke up in 2009 and their spat has not yet ended.

Asked whether he believes himself or Noel are being unreasonable, he replied: ‘I think we’re both unreasonable and we’re both.. what was the other one? Reasonable.’

The wedding is set to be an extravagant affair too, with Liam spilling: ‘Yeah, I’ve never had a big one before, ceremony. It’s going to be abroad somewhere hopefully, it’s going to be hot.

‘About 150 people – now be about 3,000 after this [inviting the crowd].’

Liam has previously been married twice. His wed first wife Patsy Kensit in 1997, followed by a divorce in 2000 and then tied the knot with All Saints’ Nicole Appleton in 2008, which ended in divorce in 2014.

He shares a son, 19-year-old Lennon, with Patsy, and another son, 18-year-old Gene, with Nicole. He also shares a daughter, 22-year-old Molly, with singer Lisa Moorish, and another daughter, six-year-old Gemma, with journalist Liza Ghorbani.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 10.30pm on ITV.

Liam Gallagher has continued to shed light on Oasis’ split, believing perhaps he was ‘too rock and roll’ for his brother Noel.

The brothers have been at war since their group split in 2009, having a go at one another in public ever since.

Now Liam has apparently mellowed about their acrimonious relationship, wondering why they split in the first place.

‘I don’t know why we split up, I’d like to know. Maybe I might have been a bit too rock ‘n’ roll for him,’ he said on the upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.

‘I might have cancelled a few gigs, I’ve might have stayed up later than I should have some nights. We’re not S f***ing Club 7.

‘Maybe he wanted to go solo and do his thing and be on his own and take all the fun out… I don’t know what I’ve done really to be fair. We’ll get to the bottom of it one day.’

Speaking of solo success, he continued: ‘I’ve had a wobble but now I’m doing alright again. I think he’s [Noel] having a wobble now.’

Pushed on the hidden meaning behind the lyrics of his solo songs, Liam has made it clear he would be keen to get the band back together.

He continued: ‘I don’t think we should have split up. We’ve had worse arguments about lesser things. I think we need a good band like that, we did exactly what it said on the tin.’

Of being in a band, Liam made it sound like a walk in the park as he explained it ‘wasn’t hard work’ rocking in Oasis.

The Wonderwall star added: ‘I didn’t get stressed once being in that band. You wore exactly what you wore, you drank when you wanted to drink, you stayed up when you wanted to stay up, we had loads of people thinking this was all great, you know what I mean?

‘We weren’t a manufactured band where people were telling you what to say and that. We did exactly what we wanted to do 24/7…’

But at the end of the day, he insisted the ‘main thing is being brothers – forget the band’.

Asked by Jonathan to say something nice about Noel he said: ‘He’s a great songwriter, man. Leave it like that.’

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday 10.30pm on ITV.

Brad Pitt details the moment he went in to bat for Gwyneth Paltrow against Harvey Weinstein

Brad Pitt ‘just wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen further’ when he threatened to kill Harvey Weinstein after he allegedly made unwanted sexual advances towards Gwyneth Paltrow, when they were dating.

The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actor was in a relationship with the actress – who is now married to Brad Falchuk – when disgraced producer Weinstein allegedly tried to lure her into his hotel room and asked for a massage after she signed on to star in Emma and Shakespeare in Love in 1995.

Gwyneth – who dated Brad for three years until 1997 – claimed last year that the 55-year-old actor confronted Weinstein after she told him what had happened.

Now Brad has explained the reasoning for his threats in an interview with CNN.

He said: ‘At that moment, I was just a boy from the Ozarks on the playground and that’s how we confronted things.

‘I just wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen further because she was going to do two films [with Weinstein].’

Brad says he’s glad things are changing around the world now to improve the ‘dynamics’ between men and women, specifically in the workplace.

‘I think the interesting thing is that we, Hollywood specifically, but the workplace, men and women’s dynamics is being re-calibrated, re-calibrated in a very good way that is long overdue. And I do think that’s an important story to tell,’ he said.

Former Hollywood movie producer Weinstein – whose trial has been pushed back to January 2020 – was charged with two counts of predatory sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual act in the first degree, one count of first-degree rape and one count of third-degree rape.

Brad’s comments come after Gwyneth praised him for standing up for her during the alleged incident.

She said: ‘He told me exactly what he said. He said, “If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.” It was great. It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically.

‘He leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet … he’s the best. I love him for this.’

The 46-year-old was left ‘shaken’ by her encounter with Weinstein, she was initially hesitant to speak about her experiences when first approached by reporters.

But she added: ‘Now, it seems like a no-brainer, but at the time, the floodgates hadn’t opened, and not only did the story break, but it changed the culture completely.’

Brad also opened up about fatherhood and his own ideas about masculinity and family: ‘My dad always said he wanted to give me a better life than he had coming from extreme poverty, and he did it. And it makes me think, as a dad, what do I have to offer that’s better than I had, to my kids?’.

The Ad Astra actor has had a troubled relationship with his eldest son Maddox who recently spoke out about their family dynamic.

On his divorce with Angelina Jolie and relationship with alcohol, Brad said he realised he had been ‘running to avoid tough feelings, painful feelings’ and had been looking for ways to escape.

‘I don’t know how better to describe it. It can be anything, drugs, booze, Netflix, snacks. Anything. I don’t want at this point to be running from anything,’ he said.

‘I want to sit in it, I want to feel it, I want to get through the rough night. I found in doing so, you come out the other side with a more profound understanding, of yourself and a greater gratefulness of those in your life. And the birds and the trees and everything else.’

Streets Of Rage II – the best Mega Drive game?

The Friday Inbox thinks Game Pass encourages playing games less if you don’t buy them, as a reader tries to decide the next Zelda remake.

Mega memories

Great review of the Mega Drive Mini, GC. There was no question about me getting it, but knowing that it gets almost everything right is good news. Bit surprised at the lack of options though. The ones M2 do for the 3DS and Switch, of Sega games, are always full of them so maybe budget problems or something? If they saved everything for the games though that’s fair enough as I really have not many complaints.

I would’ve liked to see Flashback on there and ideally FIFA and NBA Jam, as well as all the different sequels of each major franchise, instead of just one example, but you’ve got to draw the line somewhere and I think they did a pretty great job.

All of which leads me to the obvious question: what is the best Mega Drive game. Something which is extra difficult to answer because I haven’t played most of them in decades. I don’t want to say the obvious and pick Sonic The Hedgehog and instead a part of me says Gunstar Heroes and another Shining Force (better than the second one because of less grinding). But I think overall my vote would go to Streets Of Rage II.

I admit that’s nostalgia and I’m keen to play it again on the Mini, but that’s the one I remember being most impressed with and have the fondest childhood memories of. Here’s hope they aren’t all shattered when I play it again!
Tolly

Different Legends

Being playing a lot of the SNES games on the Switch after the recent drop (which happened whilst I was on holiday, which was a pleasant surprise – did not expect to ever be playing the likes of Super Metroid whilst relaxing by the pool). Although the likes of Star Fox, Pilotwings, and F-Zero are now pretty much carried by nostalgia in my view, Metroid, Zelda, and Mario are as playable now as they were over 25 years ago.

So much so that I’ve been playing Metroid and Zelda more than modern games (with the exception of Wreckfest, still my current go-to multiplayer game), which helps as I’ve forgotten pretty much all the solutions to the puzzles in both games long ago.

It does bring me to a question though; I never played the original Link’s Awakening so had my eye on the forthcoming Switch release, but in your review you allude to it being similar to A Link To The Past. My concern is that the two are too similar to make any purchase worthwhile. I know it’s quite a generic question, so to be more specific, is there much difference to the dungeons and puzzles?
TheTruthSoul (PSN ID)

GC: It’s the game that Link’s Awakening is most similar to but nothing is the same in terms of dungeons or puzzles. We’re not sure we’d want to play them one after the other, but other than that they’re very distinct experiences.

The next legend

Since Link’s Awakening seems to have gone down so well I wonder what will be the next Zelda game to be remade? Nintendo has done more Zelda remakes than any other and there’s actually not that many obvious choices left. A Link To The Past using the same or similar graphics to Link’s Awakening is one route, but I don’t think they’d want to do that straight away.

I’m not sure a remake of the first game would really work though as it so basic and Breath Of The Wild is kind of, sort of that. Zelda II would be a good choice but that would be that would really involve making an entirely new game almost.

Beyond that you get into Ocarina Of Time and Majora’s Mask, which were done very well on 3DS and again would need a complete Shadow Of The Colossus style overall to be worthwhile again. I’m up for it but I also have to admit I’d rather they just carried on with new ones.

Maybe next gen

So, despite not being particularly interested in the features and form factor, the Pokémon special edition Switch Lite has got me wavering towards buying it as my second Switch for my children to monopolise. I remember reading on these pages, and I think in a Reader’s Feature about the shenanigans you have to go through to have two machines running off one user account but I had assumed Nintendo would have streamlined the process via cloud saves and the like. It appears not. You have to deregister and re-register a console to make it your primary one if you want to play downloaded games without an Internet connection. That’s not too bad I thought – I’ll just choose one and stick with it.

Then I read about game saves. Rather than synching seamlessly like every smart device on the planet (I’m pretty sure my cat’s dry food dispenser would synch settings if I bought another), you have to go into a sub-menu for each title, ensure it has uploaded, open the game on the second console and manually force it to download the save data. I’m assuming from Nintendo’s less than detailed instructions you would then have to do the same if you wanted to carrying on playing on the first console.

This is a very first world problem rant I know but if I’m not willing to do that every single time my children swap games between the two machines. Ignoring the downloaded games for a minute – why aren’t the saves on the carts themselves?

I can’t see why Nintendo aren’t more with it when it comes to accounts, synching and files in general. My 3DS is currently stuck with a memory card that is too small for all the digital games I’ve bought after I copied a memory card from an old 2DS and didn’t select ‘delete data from original system.’ Just not good enough in 2019.
RedRob’N

GC: Nintendo have been dragged kicking and screaming into anything to do with digital download rights. It’s always been obvious they’d much rather just sell cartridges and leave it at that, but they seem to be slowly realising that is no longer an option.

Half right

I wrote in a few months ago speculating that perhaps we would be playing as Luigi’s ghost in Luigi’s Mansion 3, after his fateful appearance in the Castlevania themed reveal for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I thought it’d be a great gameplay mechanic to be able to pass through walls as a ghost to solve certain puzzles and such.

It’s uncanny how Gooigi serves the very same purpose!

I had no idea Gooigi featured in the 3DS iterations, having missed out on these instalments.

But come on, Gooigi, Booigi?

Maybe next time!
Bad Edit

GC: He was only in the remaster of the first game on the 3DS, to enable co-op play. At that point he didn’t do any of the things he does in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

Too much to type

RE: Gonch and subscription services providing too much of a good thing, inducing buffet mentality of grabbing everything but not spending quality time on anything.

This has always been my main issues with subscription services, cramming in enough viewing/gaming to justify the cost and getting the time in to play/watch the things you like before they leave. I’ve taken to rotating my Netflix and Sky cinema/entertainment pass on a six-month basis.

Game Pass is a magnificent bargain. Today sees Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night added, I’m downloading it now. The last six months has seen added Devil My Cry 5, Dead Cells, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Blair Witch, Stellaris Console Edition, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Blazing Chrome, Monster Hunter: World, Into The Breach on Game Pass PC/Ultimate, Metro Exodus, Gears 5, Batman: Return To Arkham, Hollow Knight, Outer Wilds, Quantum Break, Shenmue I & II, SteamWorld Dig 2, DiRT Rally 2 soon and The Outer Worlds arrives next month. There’s more but my hands are tired.

Aside from the first party games though you know there’s a ticking clock on all the games so it’s hard not to panic and try to fill your gaming plate with everything before it’s gone. You have to relax, prioritise the titles you most want to play and enjoy them fully. As long as you’re getting enough time to play it’s not hard to get your monies worth out of Game Pass, you just have to except you’ll miss some stuff on it before it leaves.

I can see a future where I swap out Game Pass services like I do TV, having multiple subs means you don’t have a cat’s hell in chance of extracting sufficient value from each.
Simundo

Making an effort

RE: Gonch and Game Pass. I’ve found that I don’t value games on Game Pass like I would if I’d bought it myself. For example, Metro Exodus – if I’d have paid money for the game I think I would have played it more. As it was on Game Pass I played it for about two hours then never went back to it.

I guess I feel if I’ve paid for the game I should try hard to get value from it.

Feline favourite

I was wondering, rather whimsically, as to who the best cat was in video games. I think we can safely cross out the likes of Bubsy, Big from Sonic Adventure, and Blinx who was Microsoft’s bland-as-all-hell attempt to create a family friendly mascot platform franchise. And while Sonic Team’s grasp on the animal kingdom has always been dubious, Big really took the cake. And ate it. Why does he look more like a mutated, giant rabbit from a child’s nightmare?

You ask this of Google and you’ll see some try to assert that Cait Sith from Final Fantasy VII should be counted among the best. I have to groan and roll my eyes so hard at this that they spin rapidly, like the wheels of a fruit machine. He really is the one of the most insufferable and unlikeable characters in gaming – ever. Don’t start with me, apologists! Name one thing that he did or said that was funny! Go on! I know that you can’t because this was a Squaresoft take on a comic relief character and they haven’t been funny since Kefka.

There is the lovely Kabegami from Ōkami, who uses Issun like a throw toy in a delightful game of catch between herself and Amaterasu. But the time we spend with her is all too brief. I’ve not played either of the Gravity Falls games bar the demo of the sequel. Yes, I know. I should remedy that. But I hear the cat in that is good. Dusty, yes? Who is another god-cat.

I personally think it’s between Mae Borowski from Night In The Woods and Morgana from Persona 5. They both encapsulate the adorableness of the cat as well as their massive jerk tendencies. I’m not tired, Morgana! Let me go out or at least read a book!

What do you all think?
DMR

GC: The answer is the kitten from Shenmue.

This week’s Hot Topic

The subject for this weekend’s Inbox was suggested by reader Grando, who asks you to imagine the dream sequel you’d love to see.

It can be for a game that hasn’t had a sequel in decades or one that regularly gets them, but you’re never quite satisfied with. What are the most important features you’d like to see and what about the graphics, art style, and story?

How similar is your idea to the direction of the franchise at the moment and how likely do you think it is that they could do something similar for real?

Ariana Grande, who is on her Sweetener tour, was forced to evacuate her hotel in Scotland on Thursday after a fire alarm went off.

Ari was staying at the swanky Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow when the alarm went off, after splashing out £2,500 a night on a penthouse suite, according to Mail Online.

She posted a video of herself to Instagram in the darkness of her room to lament the loud alarm.

Flashing a middle finger for the camera, the 26-year-old simply captioned her post: ‘Why.’

Relatable much!

The 7 Rings singer was reportedly staying in the penthouse suite of the lavish hotel and had been using a separate entrance to enter the lavish property, according to Mail Online.

The American singer is currently on her UK tour and is riding a high after her collaboration Don’t Call Me Angel with Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey for the Charlie’s Angels reboot.

She later shared a snap of her performance in Sheffield, which read: ‘thank u, sheffield’.

The pop singer is off to Dublin next before continuing onto the European leg of her Sweetener world tour, where she will visit 20 cities.

The tour has received rave reviews after her last tour was marred by tragedy when her Manchester arena show was targeted by a suicide bomber killing more than 20 people and injuring hundreds.

As Rolling Stone said: ‘As much as this tour is a victory lap, it’s also proof of life.’

‘If Grande wanted to sit this touring cycle out, her fans probably would’ve understood. But she chose not to, and that speaks volumes to the strength she’s built this show around.’

Despite her busy touring schedule the thank u, next hitmaker made time for some personal posts.

She shared snaps and videos of her father wishing him a happy birthday on her Instagram: ‘happy birthday dad @edbutera i love you so much forever can’t wait to hug you soon.’

Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman believes his hospitalisation was caused from a broken heart suffered from the death of his wife, Beth.

In an interview for FOX31, Dog spoke of his mental anguish after his wife Beth Chapman, passed away in June after battling cancer.

‘I’m going through some things psychologically now so that doesn’t help.’

‘I think basically I had a broken heart. And of course it’s going to heal’.

The pair starred together in Dog the Bounty Hunter and she died while they were producing Dog’s Most Wanted.D

Dog said recently: ‘I haven’t gotten past the place where I’m [not] putting a pillow where she was and covering it up. And then I wake up in the middle of the night and I see her and it doesn’t register that [it] ain’t her. I’m still there.

‘I wake up to always touch her, especially when she was sick I’d have to wake up a few times when she stopped breathing. I couldn’t hear it no more. And she’s laying and I’m like, “You are not dying like that. I will not let you die.” So I’m so used to that that I don’t sleep solid anymore.’

In the interview with Fox he described the moment when he knew something was wrong, saying he could ‘barely breathe’.

‘It was like I had ran a three or four mile run … and all I did was work out.’

Dog is back at home resting now after the suspected heart attack but family members have urged him to change his lifestyle up.

TMZ stated the 66-year-old was eventually diagnosed with ‘stress and high blood pressure’ but the health scare forced those closest to the reality TV star to have a serious chat with him.

Sources told the publication members of the 66-year-old’s family asked him to cut down on smoking, and switch to a healthier diet.

British rapper slowthai caused a stir at the Mercury Prize ceremony last night by holding up an effigy of Boris Johnson’s severed head.

Wearing a ‘F*** Boris’ T-shirt decorated with lewd images of the Prime Minister, the award-nominated artist, held up the provocative mask on stage at the Eventim Apollo in London.

After stripping to the waist, during an energetic performance of his song Doorman, he held the decapitated mannequin and shouted: ‘F*** Boris Johnson. F*** everything’.

Slowthai was nominated for his album Nothing Great About Britain, which casts a critical eye over life in the modern UK, and was one of the favourites for the Mercury Prize.

According to Mail Online the BBC live feed cut away from the rapper as he held up the effigy, but the audience responded with rapturous applause as slowthai left the stage.

Awards host Lauren Laverne apparently addressed the stunt without comment, saying: ‘slowthai, with his own views there.’

After the performance, slowthai, whose real name Tyron Frampton, took to Twitter to promote a £25 ‘F*** Boris’ T-shirt along with another lewd picture of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is yet to comment.

The video below contains swearing:

But not everyone was as thrilled with the stunt as the live audience, which had a mixed reception on social media.

‘#slowthai making the BBC real uncomfortable. Well done, son! #mercury prize,’ wrote one fan.

A critic of the stunt wrote: ‘Only heard of @slowthai because the only way he can get noticed is by holding a decapitated head of the PM. Pathetic. #mercuryprize’

Slowthai was one of 12 artists shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, which was won by London rapper Dave for his album Psychodrama.

Among the judges was Stormzy, who raised his own profile by criticising then prime minister Theresa May during his performance at the Brit Awards in 2018.

Stormzy similarly urged the crowd to join him in a chant of ‘F*** Boris’ at Glastonbury this summer.

Mr Johnson laughed it off by joking that the rapper had actually said ‘Back Boris’ but was let down by the acoustics.

The Inglorious rapper has also previously taken aim at Theresa May in his lyrics and urged his followers to target her with the social media hashtag #brexitbandit.

The Boris Johnson stunt wasn’t the only political message of the night.

Rock band Foals, who also performed, shared their concern about climate change on the red carpet holding up a sign: ‘No music on a dead planet.

Kim Kardashian shared a sweet video of her ‘babies’ as six-year-old North loses a front tooth.

In the video posted to her Instagram an excited Saint says to the camera ‘hello peanut.’

Kim responds, ‘hello Peanut’ before asking Saint ‘are you a little peanut’.

The three-year-old then says ‘hello poopy’ before Kim tells him to say ‘I love you mommy’.

‘I love you mommy, so much’.

Kim then showers her little angel with kisses.

Too cute!

‘What about you gorgeous girl? How much do you love me?’ Kim asks the six-year-old who appears to have a lost a front tooth.

‘Capisce’ she laughs jokingly.

Chicago appears behind them both and Saint appears to the one-year-old before the video cuts out.

Kim has stirred some controversy over details she shared regarding the birth of first child Saint, admitting she stopped for a bikini wax and manicure before going to the hospital.

She confessed to BFF Jonathan Cheban on his podcast On Foodgod: OMFG that the salon pitstop delayed the birth by two hours.

So we’re racing trying to ditch them [the paparazzi] and then at that moment I get the call [from my doctor] saying, “Hey, you have preeclampsia, you have to deliver right now.’

Kim added: ‘I went home and they were like, ‘You have to deliver today.”

‘My nails were, like, dark. It was when I was still in my Linkin Park After Dark phase of nails or like my Burgundy nails. And I was like, “Oh, no no, I’m having a girl. I really need a nice light pink nail for delivery.” So I told the doctor, “Are you sure I have to deliver right now? Can you give me like two hours?’ And he was like, “Fine, meet me in two hours.”‘

Incredible.

Cardi B is Fran Drescher’s ‘top choice’ for The Nanny reboot

Fran Drescher is in talks with Cardi B’s team about casting her as Fran Fine in a possible reboot of The Nanny.

Speaking to ET about the reboot of the famous nineties sitcom, Fran called the rapper her ‘top choice’ for the role.

Rumours of a possible The Nanny reboot starring Cardi B have swirled for almost a year but it seemed for a while like that’s all they were – rumours.

But in this chat Fran, who was the star and executive producer of the show, hasn’t ruled out the possibility and we are so ready!

Well, if Fran says so… (Picture: CBS via Getty Images)

Asked about her meeting with Cardi B’s team, she said: ‘We’re not ready to dive into it yet so that was just kind of laying out groundwork but do think she’s great so she would be kinda like my top choice, if she’s disciplined to do this show every week.

‘It can be a grind, but she’s got a baby now and it could be a very comfortable, lovely way, you know, to work, be seen worldwide, and still do mini-concert tours when you’re on hiatus.’

The 61-year-old actor said that she hadn’t spoken directly with Cardi B about the possible reboot, but she did say that if it were to happen she would need somebody else to play Fran, not her.

‘We would have to write it for somebody else, which I would be excited to do actually,” she said. ‘I could play Sylvia, the mom. And John Leguizamo could play (Fran’s dad), Morty. So, you know, we’ll see.

‘There’s a lot of opportunities to do something fantastic with it and bring it right into the 21st century.’

Cardi has expressed interest in donning Fran’s famous frocks and Fran has noticed: ‘She compares herself to me a lot in photos.’

According to ET Fran is only interested in a reboot of the hit show – which ran on CBS from 1993 to 1999 – not a revival or follow-up along the lines of Will & Grace.

The casting would be welcome news for the Hustlers star who was named by Tekashi69 in his recent testimony.

Reps for Cardi told Metro.co.uk today the claims made against the rapper are not true.

Brad Pitt reveals he turned to alcohol and Netflix to numb the pain of his split from Angelina Jolie.

The 55-year-old announced his divorce from the Maleficent actress – whom he shares six children with – back in 2016, after over 10 years together.

And the Ad Astra star explained he was ‘running’ from himself for a while afterwards.

‘What I realised is that I was running to avoid tough feelings, painful feelings,’ he said on their relationship ending. ‘I just didn’t know how to deal with them. Anything I found that I used for escape.

‘Those kinds of difficult feelings, I don’t know how better to describe it. It can be anything, drugs, booze, Netflix, snacks. Anything.’

But Brad insisted he no longer wants to be ‘running from anything’.

‘I want to sit in it, I want to feel it, I want to get through the rough night. I found in doing so, you come out the other side with a more profound understanding, of yourself and a greater gratefulness of those in your life,’ he added to CNN.

‘And the birds and the trees and everything else.’

The Ocean’s Eleven has had a tough few years, following his romance with Angelina ending.

And he previously opened up about his battle with alcohol, explaining he went to a few Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to try and turn his life around.

In a chat with the New York Times, he said: ‘You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard.

‘It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself… It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that.’

And he revealed that he used this experience, and channelled his ‘pain, grief and loss’ in recent film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

‘The ultimate place for my style of acting, as I understand it, is to get to a place of just absolute truth,’ Brad added.

‘I’ve got to be experiencing something that’s real to me for it to read real to you. I had family stuff going on. We’ll leave it at that.

‘The fact is, we all carry pain, grief and loss. We spend most of our time hiding it, but it’s there, it’s in you. So you open up those boxes.’

Kourtney Kardashian has revealed the luxurious playhouse she and Scott Disick designed for their kids and it is incredible.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star gave a tour of the grand cubby in a video for Architectural Digest.

The chic playhouse was created for Scott’s E! show Flip It Like Disick and we want to move in already.

‘I have been talking about building a kids’ playhouse since Mason was super young,’ Kourtney said.

The 40-year-old spent apparently years searching blogs for design inspiration and collating folder of her favourite ideas, but said she ‘couldn’t decide on the right style and the right one.’

So her partner took over and made their dream a reality.

Now that is some couple goals (Picture: Backgrid)

Scott and Kourtney eventually settled on a style that actually complemented their own house.

‘It’s not the style of my house, per se, because it’s more modern,’ Kourtney said. ‘But my house has the same wood on our pergolas outside, and the wood floors inside [of the playhouse] match the wood floors inside my house.’I love that it’s modern and sophisticated but still really warm.’

Their big building project was a family affair with kids Mason, Penelope and Reign reportedly helping to pick out a few of the details, such as the wood.

The structure is situated on the James Hyatt Studio–designed grounds behind Kardashian’s residence in Calabasas, California.

Amazing! (Picture: Youtube)

Scott and Kourtney designed the kid-friendly space, which took a few months to build, without the help of a decorator.

The playhouse features other details like a sheepskin rug, vintage stools, comfy couch, an array of stuffed animals, a lofted nook for hangout sessions and large windows to invite loads of natural light.

The proud parents also plan to install air conditioning in the playhouse, which is very cool, literally.

The kids’ escape has lots of personal touches too such as Penelope’s artwork, Kourtney’s childhood rocking horse and a few books Kourtney and her sister Kim used to read as little girls.

But while the space is a retreat from the main house, Kourtney and Scott have a special rule for the space – it’s a ‘technology-free zone’.

‘There’s no iPads, phones, computers, video games, TVs—nothing is allowed inside,’ Kourtney said. ‘That’s why we have a lot of books. It’s great for playing games and really just being imaginative.’

Watch the video to see the playhouse for yourself.

Michelle Keegan has opened up about her long-distance marriage to Mark Wright, admitting things were ‘really tough’ between them.

The lovebirds got married in a lavish ceremony back in 2015, but were soon forced to spend time apart as she jetted off to Malaysia for Our Girl filming, while her Towie beau got a presenting job in LA.

And the 32-year-old revealed the huge distance put a strain on their marriage.

During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, she told the host: ‘He got the job in LA while I was in Malaysia [filming Our Girl].

‘We were apart for about four months. It was really tough. People said, “How did you deal with it?” and stuff.

‘Thank God for FaceTime and things like that.’

Michelle also spoke out about plans to start a family with Mark, 32, admitting her mum keeps asking when they will have a baby.

And she explained the pair are not thinking about it just yet.

‘Not yet. Everyone always asks that question,’ she continued. ‘Don’t get me wrong, I’m not getting any younger.

‘My mum is on it as well. No plans yet, but we definitely do want children in the future.’

This isn’t the first time the former Coronation Street star has been questioned about whether the pair will be having children.

And she previously blasted baby questions as ‘horrible’, fuming it is no one else’s business.

She told The Sun: ‘It’s horrible. It’s like, “You’re 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?”

‘People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business. In this day and age you shouldn’t ask questions like that.

‘I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now — it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it’s no one else’s business.’

Megan Fox has defended her son Noah’s decision to wear dresses, encouraging the six-year-old to unapologetically be himself.

The actor opened up about her eldest son’s fashion choices in an interview on The Talk – she has three sons with husband Brian Austin Green – Journey, 3, Bodhi, 5, and Noah, 6.

The Transformers star said Noah was ‘really into fashion’ and often wears whatever he wants to school, including dresses, despite criticism from his classmates.

‘Sometimes, he’ll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses, sometimes,’ Fox said. ‘And I send him to a really liberal, hippy school, but even there — here in California — he still has little boys going, “Boys don’t wear dresses,” or “Boys don’t wear pink.”

‘So we’re going through that now, where I’m trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says.’

‘He just wore one [a dress] two days ago to school, and he came home and I was like, “How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?”‘ she said. ‘“And he was like, ‘Well, all the boys laughed when I came in, but I don’t care, I love dresses too much.”‘

The mother of three also revealed that Noah is a budding fashion designer as well as daring fashionista: ‘He designs, he draws outfits. He’s very talented.’

‘But he’s still six so, when I do fittings, like, I did one recently and I had this really beautiful yellow dress on, and he kept draping it in a way where he’s like, “If we do it like this, it looks like a diaper!”‘

We are deceased.

Growing up, Megan was often labelled a tomboy and has been open about her gender neutral attitude to raising children, according to Education and Career News.

‘When I became pregnant with Noah, I could feel, through my mother’s intuition I suppose, that he was not subscribing to gender stereotypes, so I decided to provide an environment for him early on that would allow him to discover how he wanted to express himself,’ she said.

She’s currently presenting a dating show, but it looks like Emily Atack might be heading to Singletown herself as reports emerge that she has split from her boyfriend of six months.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star had been dating film producer Rob Jowers ever since meeting him at Jack Whitehall’s 2019 Brit’s after party (as you do) half a year ago, but reportedly decided to split after a recent family holiday highlighted their differences.

A source told The Sun: ‘Emily and Rob were enjoying a honeymoon phase in their relationship with lots of fancy dates and extravagant weekends abroad.’

They continued: ‘But when the dust settled they realised it just wasn’t right. The split was mutual and they are both really sad about it and remain friends.

‘Emily’s enjoying one of the busiest times in her career so wants to give all she can to the exciting work opportunities coming her way.’

The source confirmed that Emily was keeping a positive outlook on life and throwing herself into upcoming projects. Between her new dating show Singletown and live comedy show Talk Thirty To Me going on a mini tour across the UK in November, we’re sure she’ll be able to keep busy.

Her first foray into stand-up, the live show sees Emily prepare to hit the big three-oh later in the year. With the landmark birthday fast approaching, the actress recently revealed that she is feeling the pressure to have children as her biological clock ticks away.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1rDWPHppDw/

She explained: ‘Marriage and babies to me is something I really want to do, it’s definitely not what everyone wants to do but I definitely want to do that.’

She continued: ‘I look at Holly Willoughby and I go “That’s what I want!” She’s got the gorgeous kids but for now it’s work and I love being free.’

Here’s hoping Emily manages to find everything she wants in this new chapter of her life.

Christopher Maloney has been left heartbroken after his beloved grandmother died, following a stroke.

The X Factor star, who mentioned Pat O’Brien throughout his time on the ITV show, confirmed the sad news on social media.

Taking to Twitter, the 41-year-old paid tribute as he shared a snap of himself and his late nan, 80, smiling for the camera.

Alongside the upload, he wrote: ‘My heart is now officially broken, my beautiful Grandmother passed away this afternoon and my life will never be the same again.

‘I will never get over this hurt. RIP Mar until we meet again xx

‘Thank you so much to ALL the doctors, nurse’s and staff @AintreeHospital who did all they could to save my Grandmother, you did an incredible job. My sincere gratitude xx (sic).’

Fans quickly offered their support for the singer, sharing their own tributes to Pat.

‘Sweetheart I am so sorry to hear this but please take comfort from knowing you brought her such joy,’ one said. ‘Rest in peace Nana Pat. Cx.’

‘You’ve got all your lovely memories tucked away in your heart forever,’ another said.

‘I’m so sorry to have heard this Chris,’ a follower replied. ‘Thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time, nana Pat was a lovely lady. Sending you lots of love xxx.’

A Twitter user added: ‘Oh Chris I am so, so sorry that Nana Pat has died. She was a truly very lovely lady.

‘I know how much she meant to you and how close you were. My heart goes out to you in your loss. With much love. Xxx.’

While Chris didn’t go into detail over what happened, a rep for the reality star explained she had a stroke last week, and sadly ‘took a turn for the worst’.

‘Chris Maloney’s beloved nan Pat had an epileptic fit at home last week and was admitted to Aintree hospital in Merseyside last Wednesday,’ they told The Sun.

‘The fit bought on a stroke but she was recovering well in hospital and she was talking and seemed to be doing well.

‘On Monday she took a turn for the worst and at 2pm this afternoon she passed away peacefully with Christopher his mum and sister by her bedside.’

Chris’ close relationship with Pat was a huge part of his X Factor journey, and he revealed she was the person who encouraged him to apply for the series.

Viewers watched as she attended his auditions, nearly every single live show, and cheered from the audience as he made it to the final, eventually finishing the competition in third place.

‘I always used to fill out the application, then I’d find it and rip it up,’ he told the Mirror. ‘One year, in 2012, I filled it out and my nan saw it. She was like, “I’ll go post that”. She did.

‘I got a call from the bosses saying got your application form. My nan done that! From there, she saw me through the auditions and the shows and to the final.

‘If she hadn’t sent that form off, I wouldn’t have been there. She helped me be where I am today.’

Kris Boyson has fueled speculation over a reunion with Katie Price after he refused to confirm he’s single.

Could the pair be getting back on track?

When Kris took to Fubar Radio, he refused to confirm his relationship status when asked by hosts Stephen Leng and Lizzie Cundy.

‘Errrr… It’s all a bit… Everything is up in the air at the moment,’ he said.

‘I’ve just been getting my head down with work. I’ve been getting asked that quite a lot obviously and been getting a lot of grief.’

The 29-year-old’s comments are mysteriously similar to his ex’s, as she recently told Flex FM’s Rick Live: ‘Everything’s up in the air at the moment,’ before adding: ‘I’m not a mug.’

Although the 41-year-old TV star is thought to have moved on with builder Charles Drury, even moving him into her Sussex mansion, she recently left a flirty comment on one of Kris’ Instagram photos.

Kris posted a shirtless gym snap, showing off his abs and declaring: ‘I’m back BABY!’

The former I’m A Celeb star commented: ‘What does that mean Boyson’.

Katie and Kris split at the end of August, with it being claimed she dumped him by text.

However, before all the drama, the pair were engaged, with Katie telling the panelists on Loose Women: ‘The thing is, he has met his match, he puts me in my place and he is strict with me, and I’m not used to that.

‘He’s a good guy and he’s so good with Harvey and Harvey is obsessed with him.’

However, things started to get a little messy following the split with it being claimed that Katie will ‘demand half his nose job’ back if he thinks about getting picky in the split.

‘Katie’s told Kris that she doesn’t want him coming to the house and causing trouble with Charles,’ a source told The Sun Online.

‘She’s said that she’ll send his things back through a mutual friend but that he’s not allowed to just turn up.

‘She’s said if he wants to be childish about getting his stuff back, she wants half his nose job back as she paid for half of it!’

Fair play, girl.

Katie’s rep declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.
