During the latest instalment of Loose Women, the panel were discussing tolerance in their own households when the 55-year-old opened up about a chat she had with daughters Kiki and Maddy, who berated her for the ‘racist’ comment.
Recalling the conversation, the mum-of-two explained they were watching an earlier episode of the ITV2 dating show, when she asked about the contestants.
‘The other day I was watching Love Island, as I always do, I watch it every episode,’ she told her co-stars.
‘It was the second day and I didn’t know everyone’s names, I was saying, “Does that girl like the black guy?”
‘And both my girls were like, “You can’t say that, why did you have to say he was black?!”

‘Because I don’t know how else to say [describe] that guy. The other one, I’d say, “the one with the teeth”. I don’t know their names yet.
‘My intention is not unkind, my intention is just to describe somebody I’m seeing.’
Fellow panellist Judi Love agreed with Nadia’s words, stating: ‘Let’s be real, in Love Island there’s only one black boy, so you’re going to end up saying the black boy.’

While Stacey Solomon explained there is sometimes a ‘lack of tolerance’ to people, insisting she didn’t mean it in a derogatory way.
‘If they’re not saying it in a derogatory, hurtful manner…,’ she replied.
‘Although in your head you’re thinking, “that’s probably not the best way to describe it”, there has to be tolerance towards them.
‘They obviously haven’t had the education or been lucky enough to be open to certain situations.’

Homeware shopping is usually not the most exciting of tasks… unless you happen to bump into Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, that is.
One lucky fan got to do exactly that, as the stars popped in to a Bed Bath & Beyond store in New York where she works.
As well as getting the inside scoop on which towels and bedding Timothée and Zendaya are going to have in their actual homes (probably), the fan managed to bag a pretty great selfie, too.
The pair are set to star in the reboot of Dune together (Timothée and Zendaya, not him and the girl who works at Bed Bath & Beyond), which is currently in post-production and will be out later in the year.
They clearly hit it off so well that they ring each other up for shopping trips, and who doesn’t love perusing laundry baskets, duvets and storage solutions with their bestie, huh?
The worker shared her excitement at meeting both of the actors with her pal, who put the photos and their message exchange on social media.
Of course proof that Timothée and Zendaya hang out together doing ridiculously mundane stuff (who knew Hollywood stars bought their own sheets though) quickly ended up going viral.

She confirmed that he had been in there with Zendaya though she didn’t share a selfie with the Greatest Showman star.
This is proof that if we wish hard enough to bump into Zac Efron in Asda, it just might end up happening…

Sir Patrick Stewart made Whoopi Goldberg an offer she quite literally couldn’t refuse during The View yesterday as he invited her to join the cast of Star Trek: Picard season 2.
Whoopi starred as Guinan on Star Trek: The Next Generation in the 1988 season two premiere, trusted pal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and member of the El-Aurian alien race.
Obviously, she killed it, became a huge fan favourite and was destined to return for the Amazon Prime Video series, which launches its reboot tomorrow (January 24).

Reuniting with Whoopi on the US talk show, Patrick, 79, began: ‘Im here with a formal invitation, and it’s for you, Whoopi.
‘Alex Kurtzman, who is the senior executive producer of Star Trek: Picard, and all his colleagues, of which I am one, want to invite you into the second season.’
Amid huge applause from the studio audience, the Oscar winner choked up and explained: ‘I’ve said this on the show before, but Star Trek was one of the great experiences, from the beginning to the end. I had the best, best, best time ever.’
The 64-year-old struggled to speak through her shock, but, of course, said yes because imagine how awkward it could have been if she said no.
So, looks like we’re getting Guinan back in Picard season two, joining the likes of Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco, who have reprised their roles as Seven of Nine and Third of Five respectively.
Picard has already been renewed for season two, thankfully for Whoopi, and if our review is anything to go by you’ll be gobbling it up all weekend.

Paris Jackson seemed pretty smug backstage, after making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week for Jean Paul Gaultier’s final show.
So would we if we were sharing the catwalk with the likes of Bella and Gigi, you?
Designer Gaultier announced he is retiring from the fashion world earlier this month and he decided to mark his final show by having Paris walk the runway for the very first time in his designs.
Of course, Paris wasn’t going to say no and she was spotted looking pretty chuffed with herself backstage, rocking her boho look,as she rubbed shoulders with some of the modelling elite at PFW.

She performed in a folk-rock duo with boyfriend Gabriel Glenn called The Soundflowers and it’s said they’ve attracted serious interest from a number of record companies.
‘Paris is really focused on her music and it’s given her a lot of comfort,’ a source told The Sun. ‘She and Gabriel have grown their following and a handful of big labels have shown interest in offering them a deal, including Universal.’
They added: ‘There is a lot of pressure on her because of who she is, but she just wants to have fun with it.’

Love Island hosts and real-life couple Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling proved true romance isn’t dead after all when they reunited in South Africa this week.
The presenters have been separated for days on end with Laura, 34, busy hosting Love Island: Aftersun in the UK and Iain, 31, narrating the main show in Cape Town.
Well, the forces that be – ITV – brought the lovebirds back together on Wednesday when Laura jetted into Cape Town International airport to presumably host the epic dumping that’s coming the islanders’ way tonight.
As she made her way out of arrivals, Laura was greeted by her man and understandably looked thrilled to see him. The happy couple shared a sweet kiss before Iain chivalrously took charge of wheeling her Love Island personalised suitcase like a true gentleman.
The couple high-fived each other before sharing hugs while waiting for their car to whisk them away.
And our hearts have melted.
Despite being torn apart by work, the pair are still in sync as they wore similar tropical printed outfits with Laura donning a shift dress with flowers and Iain rocking a plant print.

Following their lunch date, Laura managed to capture a bit of the ‘real Love Island’, which happened to be turtles mating in her back garden.

At the end of last night’s episode, a vote opened up to the public meaning one of our favourite islanders is at risk of being dumped and, by the looks of her arrival in Cape Town, Laura will be doing the honours of delivering the bad news.

BTS will kick off their tour at the Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Seoul on 11-12 April, and then the 18-19 April.
Then they will head off to the US and take in Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington DC, Chicago, then onto Canada and Toronto.
UK ARMY who aren’t in London will have to make the trip to the capital on 3 and 4 July as they take over Twickenham Stadium before moving on to Europe with dates in Berlin and Barcelona.
After that they visit Japan, performing in Osaka, Saitama and lastly Tokyo on 1 and 2 September.
However there’s still something else to be announced, as 13 and 14 June – which falls in line with their seventh anniversary – is currently blank.

Ben Shephard left Good Morning Britain viewers aghast as he revealed he ‘caught something from a northern girl in Magaluf’ at a foam party back in the day.
The 45-year-old presenter launched into the overshare during today’s programme, explaining that the holiday wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and that he still hasn’t managed to shake whatever it was that he picked up.
‘I went to one of those foam parties in Magaluf once and I’ve not forgot it,’ Ben confessed. ‘I’ve not got rid of what I caught, either.’
He continued: ‘I was filming for the BBC Holiday programme back in the day, it was a long time ago. I thought this would be brilliant and it just wasn’t.’
Desperate for more details, money expert Martin Lewis exclaimed: ‘We still want to know what you caught though! I felt like I walked into a Carry On studio this morning.’

As the conversation progressed, Susanna revealed to her co-host that was starting to feel ‘uncomfortable’ with where the conversation was going.
‘Let me just explain,’ Ben said. ‘There’s lots of ways you can holiday in Majorca. It’s a beautiful island, there are three areas you can go to. There is high-end, then families, then the party town.

Vikings’ star recalls emotional moment cast watched Katheryn Winnick’s last fight (Picture: History)

Vikings star Kieran O’Reilly has recalled his epic fight scene with Katheryn Winnick, seeing their two characters White Hair and Lagertha go head to head in one last battle.
In the sixth episode of the last season, Death and the Serpent, the shieldmaiden took down the bandit leader before losing her life at the hands of Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø).
And it turns out it was just as emotional on set as it was the screen, as the cast gathered around to watch the sequence unfold.
When chatting with Metro.co.uk, the 40-year-old explained: ‘It was written very specifically. Michael Hirst wanted Lagertha’s last battle to be an epic colossal fight which it was, and in the confines of that fight there’s so much going on, there’s so much subtext.’

If you hadn’t noticed, the music that was played during Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) death was also played in the background of Lagertha’s fight, as she defended her village in her husband’s name.
Talking about his co-star, Kieran added: ‘Katheryn is extremely professional and disciplined, but I think it meant a great deal to her.
‘She wanted it to be something special, as did everyone.’
He said: ‘There was a huge crew, and a huge cast, with the producers and director – and everyone stood back and they really did give us the stage.

‘We weren’t aware of it until afterwards, and then after the whole thing was finished everyone was in the shadows watching this and they were really complimentary.
‘It was her last fight, it had to be special it had to be superhuman, and I believe in ways it was. It was an honour to be part of it.’
That’s right, despite them both wielding axes and swords, and smashing each other’s shields to smithereens, they opted to film the routine entirely themselves – and we love them for it.
Kieran said: ‘We were both there on our marks waiting to go every time. I think we really applied ourselves, but we had to because it was a really demanding scene.’

Rylan Clark-Neal has claimed that he ‘never knew’ that Big Brother was getting axed – but he is certain the show will be back someday.
Speaking at the Thread Talks event Samsung KX on Wednesday, the presenter revealed that ‘it killed’ him when the show got cancelled as he was just as clueless about the TV bosses decision.
‘We never knew, genuinely, I’ll be completely honest, we never knew it was going,’ he began.
‘We heard rumours that they were thinking about it, but we thought Celeb would stay.
‘It was a phone call, I got a phone call the night before it was announced to say it’s going and I had no, I genuinely had no words.’

Despite Rylan rising to fame on The X Factor, he revealed that wasn’t the show that changed his life.
He continued: ‘My life changed completely from one TV show and it wasn’t X Factor, believe it or not, it was Big Brother.
‘I was lucky enough to go on the show and I won it, and the best thing is that I got a job out of it.
‘I know it will come back, when and how I don’t know but I know it will come back.’

Channel 5 boss Ben Frow said earlier this year that 2019 would be free of Big Bro, saying: ‘I have planned for a year without Big Brother. But never say never. The contract runs out at Christmas.’

Fabolous has admitted he was called out by Beyonce for comparing her to her sister Solange and we honestly have no words.
Queen Bey’s not having any of it.
The rapper explained that, in the past, he hasn’t thought twice about putting a ‘catchy’ line about specific people in his raps – until Beyonce and Solange, that is.
‘Sometimes you say punchlines or say things in music or rap…you may not any know any seriousness behind it, you just try to say something in the moment to catch attention,’ he explained.
Fab added on The Breakfast Club: ‘There was a freestyle, or a song or something and I said, “If you can have Beyonce, would you take Solange?”‘
Later on, Fab got his chance to apologise to Solange.
‘I ended up seeing her…she was stiff…she was like “Alright, thank you,”‘ he said.

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed he was only told that Channel 5 was axing Big Brother the day before it happened – but says it will be coming back.
Both the infamous reality show and the celebrity spin-off were cancelled in 2018 after 18 years of bringing us bucket loads of entertainment, such as David’s dead, George Galloway pretending to be a cat and Jade Goody.
‘We never knew, genuinely, I’ll be completely honest, we never knew it was going,’ Rylan confessed.
‘We’ve heard rumours that they were thinking about it, but we thought Celeb would stay. There’s no way that Celeb can go.’
He continued: ‘It was a phone call, I got a phone call the night before it was announced to say it’s going and I had no, I genuinely had no words.’

Despite the axe, Rylan is confident that Big Brother will return in some shape or form in the not so distant future.
‘I do have to say something, I know it will come back, when and how, I don’t know. But I know it will come back.’

The scenes in question aired back in 2018 and topped Ofcom’s round-up, with the TV watchdog receiving 25,327 complaints about the moment.
At the time, the Emmerdale actress alleged Lucy Mecklenburg’s fiancé ‘repeatedly, intentionally and aggressively’ hit her during a play fight, telling producers she didn’t feel safe.
However, after she left the show, she admitted that she ‘got it wrong’, saying: ‘I massively apologise to not only Ryan, but his friends, his family, his fans, every single person who watched that and who justifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn’t a malicious act.

Nikki Cross has enjoyed a fantastic run in WWE since she made the jump from NXT, and her ‘odd ball’ partnership with Alexa Bliss has been a huge part of that.
When the two superstars – who both appear on the SmackDown brand – first crossed paths, it appeared the Goddess was manipulating her so-called friend, but the expected betrayal never came and the duo have gone on to become one of the company’s most beloved pairs.
Asked about the idea of revisiting the early tension as WWE celebrated its move to BT Sport, Scottish star Nikki told Metro.co.uk: ‘The fans had fun watching is – we’re very much “opposites attract”, that odd ball tag team and we captured the Women’s Tag Team championships.
‘We went a different direction to what people expected, and that’s one of the best things you can do in entertainment. It was so organic and natural – whatever happens going forward with also be organic and natural because I think that’s where it came from. We get a kick out of the friendship, and whatever will be, will be.’

However, it doesn’t mean Nikki is keen on a split, and she suggested their real-life friendship – which developed along with their on-screen story – means they’re both protective about what comes next.
‘We’re gonna be best friends forever, she’s not allowed to leave me! We’re best friends forever,’ she laughed. ‘It’s so natural with our relationship and friendship. We just want to stay true to what made us great friends in the first place.’
For the pair, what you see is what you get, with the duo travelling together and staying in the same hotels as Nikki admitted they’re ‘attached at the hip’.
She added: ‘I think that’s why people really connected with the story and both of us – they saw how genuine it was. It’s so much fun, we make each other laugh, and it’s so nice to able to have someone by your side on the road like that.’
However, Nikki isn’t ruling out anything in the future, and she would even consider working with NXT UK to tangle with some of her friends from the British wrestling scene.
‘I’ve never wrestled there so I think that could be something really exciting to see for the fans,’ she said, name dropping the likes of Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn as potential opponents.
‘I love a lot of the NXT talent, I know most of them so that’s definitely something I could see in the future. I think it would be very gratifying for the United Kingdom fans. You just never know what you could happen – it’s very exciting and unpredictable!’

‘Staff were completely blind to the announcement, with bosses telling 35 female staff they’re out of jobs,’ an insider tells Metro.co.uk in the wake of the news. ‘They’re completely shocked. It makes no sense.’
They added: ‘This is what the BBC says they want – women, diversity, and digital success. The figures are massive on digital. They’ve won awards.

The Victoria Derbyshire Show picked up a Bafta back in 2017 for its coverage of former footballers who had been sexually abused. Two years prior, Victoria was nominated for RTS presenter of the year along with producer Benjamin Zand, who was nominated in the young talent category.
Staff are as of yet to be offered jobs on alternative shows or departments, and it will be a further six days of anxious waiting until any further information will be confirmed by the Beeb.
‘They’re in limbo until next week, everyone feels horrible,’ the source continues. ‘They’re going ahead as normal.
‘Victoria has said she doesn’t want misery behind the scenes – she wants support.’
In the meantime, the dedicated staff are dumbfounded by the news, with the insider saying they need to ‘sit down and think’ about what their next movements are, adding: ‘They want to know how long they have a job for.’

It’s been suggested the news was ‘leaked by someone at the BBC’, but following the news, the staff still remain ‘hopeful’ public outcry may change BBC bosses’ minds.
BBC media editor Amol Rajan said via Twitter following the announcement: ‘The Victoria Derbyshire Show is coming off air. I understand @BBCNews is committed to Victoria + the (award-winning) journalism of the show.
‘Cost of doing it on linear channel when savings are needed deemed too high. BBC declined to comment ahead of an announcement next week.’
He continued: ‘The show won awards at the RTS and from Bafta. Victoria nominated for Best Presenter four years in a row – and won once.
‘Digital impact was huge. Show was designed to reach audiences the BBC struggles to connect with, and it did – online.’
Today Victoria told her 101,000 Twitter followers: ‘Absolutely devastated at the plan to end our programme (which I first learned about in yesterday’s Times).
‘I’m unbelievably proud of what our team and our show have achieved in under 5 years…’
In another post the 51-year-old added: ‘Breaking tonnes of original stories (which we were asked to do); attracting a working class, young, diverse audience that BBC radio & TV news progs just don’t reach (which we were asked to do); & smashing the digital figures (which we were asked to do)…
‘I’m gutted particularly for our brilliant, young, ambitious, talented team – love ‘em. And for all those people we gave a voice to. Love them too.’
Francesca Unsworth, Director, BBC News and Current Affairs, sent an email on Thursday to all staff regarding the news.
In the email, obtained by Metro.co.uk, it was stated the decision to can the show ‘has not been easy’.
‘Over the last five years, the programme has delivered award-winning, distinctive journalism, exploring topics which the BBC has not traditionally covered. From its ground-breaking interviews on abuse in football to uncovering the complications caused by mesh implants and revealing failures in the tax credit system which affected working class women, the programme has championed important stories and fresh reporting talent,’ it stated.
‘This is exactly the type of journalism we need to continue, reaching audiences who are often under-served by the BBC, and we will be retaining some of the programme’s journalism roles to enable us to continue this work. We will outline further details of this next week.’
It continued: ‘However, audience behaviours are changing. Linear television viewing is declining, and as we progress with our £80m savings target, it is no longer cost-effective to continue producing the programme on television.
‘The show’s journalism makes a huge impact online, and we remain committed to building on that and giving those stories the widest possible audience across our outlets.
‘The people affected directly by this change have been informed of this proposal. This is part of a wider series of changes which we will be announcing next week. I know times of change are never easy and I want to thank you all for your professionalism throughout.’
It added: ‘Victoria is a hugely talented and engaging presenter and will continue to be a central part of the BBC News team.
‘She will be taking a wider role across our broadcast and digital output and will continue to lead on some of the high-profile audience events and original stories she has championed so effectively in recent years.
‘I would like to pay tribute to Victoria and her whole team who’ve worked so hard, and achieved such great results, over the past few years.’

Just days ago, Vanessa went for dinner with Lakers star Kyle in New York. They stopped by Italian restaurant Lilia in Brooklyn and seemed to be enjoying themselves over a carafe of wine.
Sources told E! News: ‘They’re just shooting on two different continents and it’s a matter of distance. There is no bad blood at all, and they have a lot of respect for each other.’
They didn’t exactly rule out a reunion in the future, with sources adding that the exes, who dated for nine years, were ‘going to see what happens’ in the future.

On today’s instalment of the ITV show, the panel were debating whether or not women should take a test to find out when they’ll hit menopause.
And the 30-year-old – who recently welcomed baby Rex with boyfriend Joe Swash – took the opportunity to call on schools to teach youngsters about symptoms, as well as periods.
Speaking to her co-stars, she said: ‘They don’t teach you to put a tampon in at school, do they?
‘I don’t ever remember having a tampon lesson or [being taught] how to put a sanitary towel on.’
When the audience laughed at her suggestion, she continued: ‘No I’m being serious.

The gang got on to the topic of tolerance in their households when the 55-year-old revealed the chat she had with daughters Kiki and Maddy, about contestant Mike Boateng.

‘My intention is not unkind, my intention is just to describe somebody I’m seeing.’
Fellow panellist Judi Love agreed with Nadia’s words, stating: ‘Let’s be real, in Love Island there’s only one black boy, so you’re going to end up saying the black boy.’
While Stacey suggested there is sometimes a ‘lack of tolerance’ to people, insisting she didn’t mean it in a derogatory way.

The closest thing to a Pokémon MMO has recovered from its unexpectedly busy launch and is already a major hit on Steam.
Temtem developer Crema claims that the game’s servers are now stable, as the Pokémon style MMO had to cope with unprecedented demand during its first week of early access.
As ever, the more popular an online game is the less likely it is to work, and many players had trouble logging in on Tuesday when the game first launched.
The game has had a peak of almost 32,000 players on Steam, with estimated first day numbers of 90,000. Not bad for an indie game trying to emulate one of the world’s biggest gaming brands.
While Temtem is very similar to Pokémon, in that you’re catching and training a wide range of (mostly) cute critters, the fact that it’s a full MMO (massively multiplayer online) is the reason for its initial success, especially when compared to the very limited online options of Pokémon Sword and Shield.
The server problems resulted in people having to wait in queues to get into the game and then lag issues once they did, but even though it was just the first couple of days Crema offered refunds for anyone that wasn’t happy – which is certainly not something many companies would do.
The burgeoning community seem quite understanding though and Crema’s latest update is that they can now safely support up to 27,000 at a time, with that number due to go up over time.
That’s a way off the number one games on Steam, with today’s peak being Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 714,086 but it’s currently the 21st most popular game, just behind Terraria.
Whether Temtem’s success will last remains to be seen, but hopefully it might at least inspire The Pokémon Company to be a bit more ambitious with their online features in the future.
That might be especially true if Temtem ends up on consoles, which Crema has been planning for ever since the game first hit Kickstarter.
All we know so far about Safin is that he’s a ‘nasty piece of work’ according to Bond producer Barbra Broccolli, but it sounds like Phoebe was the brains behind bringing him to life.
Rami told Entertainment Weekly: ‘She had quite an impact on what I was doing. I’d have long phone conversations with her, giving her context as to what we were essentially looking for in the scenes – she would turn things over incredibly quickly.

There’s no denying that and Phoebe is currently having a great run this awards season after taking home a SAG award for outstanding female actor in a comedy, along with the best actress in a comedy awards at Critics’ Choice and the Golden Globes.
No Time To Die will see Daniel play Bond for the final time – a decision that was spurred on after he injured his ankle on set of the new movie.
Daniel said he questioned whether he was ‘physically able’ to carry on playing the secret agent, after previously breaking his leg while filming Bond movie Spectre and more recently rupturing his ankle on set of No Time To Die.
Ever the pro, though, he was back to work in just two weeks, despite doctors telling him it would take 10 weeks to recover.
Would we expect anything less from Bond? Nope, probably not.

Parkinson’s UK chief executive Steve Ford confirmed to Metro.co.uk: ‘People with Parkinson’s tell us that lack of awareness among the general public is one of the biggest challenges they face, and unfortunately this misjudged tweet shows that Parkinson’s is still a much misunderstood condition.
‘While there are still many unanswered questions about the causes of Parkinson’s, there is no known link between Parkinson’s and illegal drugs.
‘What we do know is that Parkinson’s is caused when dopamine producing nerve cells in the brain die, but more research is needed to understand and predict why this might be.
‘Ozzy Osbourne has announced he has Parkin 2, a rare genetic type of Parkinson’s and so these cells would die regardless of any lifestyle factors. We wish Ozzy all the best.’
Danny had taken to Twitter to tell his followers: ‘Not to be unsympathetic to a genuine hero but when Ozzie Osbourne says his “mild Parkinson’s” is down to a fall he once had I’m thinking it must have been when he fell into a vat full of cocaine in 72 and didn’t get out again for 35 years.’
