Here’s some bad news for all those of you eagerly awaiting the sequel to Tron: Legacy – there isn’t going to be one after all.
Disney have confirmed that plans for a Tron 3 – which would once again have starred Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund – have been shelved, despite the popularity of the 2010 movie and the 1982 original.
The studio haven’t given an official reason for shelving the effects-laden project, which was reportedly due to go in to production in Vancouver in the autumn.
However some sources have suggested that Disney’s release schedule for the next few years is just too full to accommodate it.
