The new movie has exceeded expectations but will the video game version of Mad Max enjoy the same sort of reception?
As far as we’re concerned Mad Max: Fury Road is not just the best action film of the year but of the decade, and probably well beyond that. It’s a stunning achievement, which at face value seems to be just one long, and incredibly well staged, action sequence. But just below the surface there’s story and thematic depth that would shame many a more staid movie. You know, those ones that don’t feature a giant car chase with a guy playing a flame-throwing guitar.
