Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has ruled himself out of directing the sequel.
But while he’s giving up the driver’s seat he won’t be leaving the franchise completely, much like JJ Abrams has handed over the reigns for Star Wars 8.
At the Paris premiere of the film he told badtaste.it (via IGN): ‘Jurassic Park should be a franchise like Star Wars, with several directors capable of giving different footprints.
‘I would remain involved in some way, but not as director.’
Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, is out June 11.
