WWE has all but confirmed The Undertaker has been sighted in Saudi Arabia – and it’s looking very likely he’ll appear tonight at Super ShowDown.
The sports entertainment giant is back in Riyadh this evening at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard, and the company’s official website has dropped a massive hint the Dead Man will make his presence felt.
In a cryptic post on WWE.com on Wednesday night, the company said: ‘His rumoured presence obviously lends itself to more questions than answers. Undertaker’s in-ring appearances are an increasing rarity, and he is not yet advertised for a match at tomorrow’s show.
‘Depending on how things shake out, we could be seeing a surprise appearance at Super ShowDown. It could, of course, be equally likely that The Deadman won’t be competing and will instead simply add his presence to the festivities. Tomorrow will bring the answers. Until then, we wait.’
It seems Taker’s preparations for WrestleMania 36 are already in motion as he was spotted arriving at King Khalid International Airport with several other WWE superstars on Tuesday ahead of Super ShowDown.
He’s expected to confront AJ Styles, who is scheduled to compete in the first-ever Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match against Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, Andrade, Erick Rowan and Bobby Lashley.
Last week, Styles returned on Raw after he suffered a shoulder injury during the Royal Rumble on January 26.
Earlier this month, reports claimed that Taker had asked to work with Styles at WrestleMania 36 as he views him as a modern-day Shawn Michaels.
Undertaker certainly looks to be in amazing shape too, with his wife – and former WWE superstar in her own right – Michelle McCool taking to Instagram with a video showing her man tensing as he takes some hard kicks to the body from his daughter, and the wrestling icon has clearly been sticking to a solid gym routine ahead of his latest appearance in the ring.
