Lewis Capaldi doesn’t seem too fussed about his ex-girlfriend Paige Turley winning Love Island with her new man Finn Tapp, as he appears to be enjoying some dates of his own.
The Someone You Loved hitmaker has reportedly enjoyed a string of dates with Scottish student Catherine Halliday.
The pair are said to have been enjoying time together in West Lothian (Lewis’ hometown), with them shunning the glitz and glam of celeb life to instead enjoy a meal at Italian chain restaurant Prezzo this week.
An onlooker said: ‘They were being very flirty and seemed to be having fun — both laughing and joking a lot, touching hands and being tactile.
‘You’d never know he was one of the biggest stars in the country and it’s a very low key place to go and eat but he obviously doesn’t go in for all the fancy celebrity stuff.’
They added to The Sun: ‘They were holding hands as they left and went for the car, and Lewis posed for a couple of photos with fans and then climbed into a Fiesta and drove off.’
The 23-year-old singer, who recently won big at the Brit Awards, has often joked about being unlucky in love – however, it seems his luck might be about to change.
Meanwhile, he recently threw a bit of shade at his ex-girlfriend Paige, who has just won the first series of winter Love Island with her boyfriend Finn.
Taking to the stage at the Brits, the Scotsman shut down some pesky rumours about his song Someone You Loved.
‘Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend who you can now see every night on Love Island,’ he said. ‘But it is actually about my grandmother who sadly, sadly passed away a few years ago.’
He went on to add: ‘And I hope to God that ITV don’t contact her to be a on a reality dating TV show.’
And, although he previously joked about wanting in on her prize money, Paige has revealed she won’t be able to share any of her winnings with him.
‘That’s just Lewis, it comes as no surprise he said that,’ the 22-year-old said. ‘But I can’t give him any money because once I pay off my debts there’ll be nothing left.’
