Caprice Bourret has reportedly been banned from attending the final of Dancing On Ice after the model ‘publicly slated’ ITV.

She had split from her first partner, Hamish Gaman, and been partnered up with Oscar Peter, but ended up pulling out of the show altogether at the start of February.

Insiders have since claimed that Caprice is ‘not welcome’ to come to the final, despite bosses planning to reunite all of this year’s skaters for the last show next Sunday.

A source told The Daily Star: ‘Producers want the final to be a celebration. There is so much planned for the big night.

‘So the last thing they want is for the focus to be on Caprice. They don’t want her there. Her exit is not something they want to dwell on.

‘So everyone will be back apart from her.’

Caprice, 48, had been an early favourite for the show, but rumoured issues within her partnership meant her performance on the ice was overshadowed by everything happening behind the scenes.

Her rep had told Metro.co.uk when she pulled out of the contest: ‘It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice.

‘It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons.

‘Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful.

‘Now she’s taking some time to recover and look after herself and her family.’

An ITV spokesperson added: ‘Caprice will not be taking any further part in the series’.

The source added that regardless of whoever was at fault, ‘execs are keen to move on from the whole thing and focus on the contestants who’ve worked hard.’

Caprice had publicly criticised the show for having ‘no duty of care’, but ITV sources said contestants have access to a psychologist and are offered counselling.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to ITV and Caprice’s reps for comment.
