YouTuber Joe Sugg and his girlfriend Dianne Buswell looked all loved up at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2020 after firmly denying they haven’t got engaged.
The stars, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and have been together since, lit up the awards on Sunday night, Dianne in a stunning sequinned dress and Joe looking dapper at her side.
They turned up along with Joe’s cast mates from Waitress as he was nominated in the Supporting Actor – Musical category.
But despite looking all loved up, the couple’s appearance comes after they laughed off the suggestion they had got engaged.
Back in January they appeared on This Morning, where Holly Willoughby asked them if the speculation was true.
The pair said absolutely not.
‘No that’s not true, we’ve got a tour to get going, we haven’t got any time for that,’ Dianne, 30, said.
But that doesn’t mean they’re not clearly in love.
Sharing a snap of the two of them dressed up for the awards, Dianne wrote on Instagram: ‘The annual photo by the stairs. So proud of this boy. Heart of pure gold.’
Joe, 28, also posted a very cute selfie of the lovebirds together.
Members of the public nominate their favourite plays and stage performers across the UK in the annual WhatsOnStage Awards, which was held on Sunday 1 March.
Waitress was nominated eight times in six categories – Best Actor, twice for Best Actress, Best Actor in a Musical, twice for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical, Best New Musical, and New Musical.
The play didn’t end up winning any awards, though, pipped by stars like Fleabag’s Andrew Scott, who won for Present Laughter and The Crown’s Claire Foy, who won for her role in Lungs.
But Joe seemed happy with it all anyway.
On Twitter he wrote: ‘We may not have brought any awards home for @WaitressLondon tonight but the real prize was being reunited with my amazing cast mates who I’ve missed a lot!
‘Also all your lovely continued support has been the best to even say I’ve been nominated was a huge achievement for me.’
