The Simpsons is finally coming to Disney Plus UK – and it’s a good job too as fans had been threatening to ‘boycott’ the streaming service.
Disney released its new schedule, ahead of the launch of its new streaming service, and after fans noticed that The Simpsons was missing from its lineup, they were quick to call out Netflix’s newest rival on Twitter.
Many threatened to boycott Disney+ and warned that losing The Simpsons would be a definite ‘deal-breaker’.
One fan went as far as to say: ‘If there’s no Simpsons, I’m out. #DisneyPlusUK.’
Although rest assured Disney listened to The Simpsons’ following and released a teaser to social media.
Along with a picture of one of Homer Simpson’s beloved doughnuts, they tweeted: ‘Grab yourself a D’oh-nut and stay tuned…’
Ay Caramba!
Fans quickly took to Twitter to respond to the news, and it’s safe to say they were more than happy about it.

Another tweeted: ‘Okay you’ve sold me this is all I needed, I’m in,’ which was followed by: ‘This is more important to me than anything else being on Disney+. Thank you Disney and Sky Overlords for listening to us!’
Will The Simpsons be leaving Channel 4?
Luckily for fans, a Channel 4 spokesperson told Metro.co.uk that The Simpsons will not be going any where.
They said: ‘The Simpsons is staying on Channel 4 and viewers can continue to watch it for free every weekday at 6pm.’
New streaming service, Disney+ UK, is set to launch next month, following its release in the US back in November.
It will also be hitting Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
Fans will be able to get their hands on episodes of Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian, as well as the High School Musical series and The World According To Jeff Goldblum.
Other shows include Mary Poppins, Malcolm In The Middle and Wandavision, with Disney+ offering a whole host of shows across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
Disney+ is hitting the UK on March 24, 2020.
