Once the Love Island cameras stop rolling and the contestants head home, closing the doors on the infamous villa, we viewers can only guess as to what happens behind the scenes as the couples that are still together try to make it work in the outside world.
Many a couple do not make it outside of the reality TV bubble despite giving it their best shot, as the most recently announced split between Dancing On Ice contestant Maura Higgins and Strictly Come Dancing star Curtis Pritchard shows, but there are a few who do.
Since Love Island was first revived and launched onto our screens again in 2015, there have been three babies born to Love Island couples and three weddings.
But which Love Island couples are still together?
Cara De La Hoyd and Nathan Massey, 2016
Cara and Nathan won the show in 2016 and despite splitting briefly once back in the real world, the rekindled their romance and welcomed a baby boy, called Freddie-George, in December 2017.
The pair went on to get married in the summer of 2019 and told OK! Magazine before their wedding that their brief time apart actually made them stronger: ‘When we met we never thought we’d get married. I wasn’t sure if we’d work on the outside, which is crazy to look back at now. We are made for each other. The split was the best thing for us at the time, it made us stronger.’
Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, 2016
Olivia and Alex were the runners up the same years that Cara
and Nathan took home the cash prize, but this loved up couple have certainly proved
they are still winners since.
Along with various lucrative deals with clothing and gym companies, the down-to-earth couple tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony in September 2018 and recently moved into their ‘dream home’, which they are renovating in the countryside.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever, 2017
Jess and Dom left the villa separately the year they appeared on Love Island, but their romance has stood the test of reality once they were reunited after leaving the show.
Now both making it as models and Instagram influencers, the pair got married in a lavish wedding in Greece in 2018 and welcomed a son last year.
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, 2017
Activist and former bomb disposal expert Camilla and model Jamie were a last minute hit on the 2017 series of Love Island, after Scottish beauty Camilla spent the majority of the show unlucky in love until late arrival Jamie entered the villa.
Fast forward over two years and the pair are still going strong, having recently moved in together and become dog-parents to two adorable pups.
Molly-May Hague and Tommy Fury, 2019
Viewers weren’t sure about the strength of Molly-Mae and Tommy’s partnership during their time on Love Island, but the pair have proved their romance is genuine since leaving the show.
After moving in together after arriving home in the UK, the couple have since bought a three-bed home and look loved-up in their social media snaps.
Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, 2020
Paige and Finn have only just been crowned winners of the first ever Love Island winter series and after discussing moving in together, marriage and buying a dog, we’d certainly expect this pair to still be going strong less than two weeks following the final.
Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman, 2020
Just like their winter Love Island co-stars Paige and Fin, runners up Siannise and Luke T are still loved up following their exit from the South African villa a couple of weeks ago.
The pair, who enjoyed a Disney-esque romance during their time on the show, were seen arriving back to the UK together, with Siannise gripping the crown that Luke had made her when asking if she would be his girlfriend. Too cute.
Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones, 2020
A late partnership in the winter series this year, Luke M and Demi got together with a little help from their pals Siannise and Luke T when their other love matches didn’t work out as planned.
Sharing a kiss for the cameras as the landed back in the UK from South Africa last week, the pair seem to still be going strong. We wonder when the first double-date in the real world will be with Siannise and Luke T?
Priscilla Anyabu and Mike Boateng, 2020
After falling for each other in Casa Amor, Priscilla proved to be the girl to tame ‘shark’ Mike after his series of unsuccessful matches in the villa.
The couple made their romance official during their time on the show, becoming girlfriend and boyfriend on a safari date, and they are still happily coupled up now.
Ched Uzor and Jess Gale, 2020
Ched and Jess didn’t make their relationship official during
their time on the show but the couple, who finished in fourth place, certainly
looked loved up on their arrival back to the UK from South Africa.
Since the cameras stopped rolling, Jess has been hanging out with Ched and her twin sister Eve and the pair have even spoken about moving in together.
Molly Smith and Callum Jones, 2020
Callum’s decision to couple up with Molly after meeting her in Casa Amor made for one of the most dramatic episodes of the winter series, when his indiscretion was revealed to Shaughna Phillips in a tense re-coupling.
Despite their dramatic start as a couple, Callum and Molly seem to be making their romance work in the real world and are going on dates back home in Manchester.
