Making their second and reportedly final Glastonbury appearance, rock legends The Who headlined the closing night of this year’s festival.
Opening their final festival set with some innocuous chit-chat, Pete Townshend then sets about asking the gathered folk of Glastonbury: Who Are You?
The two remaining members of The Who’s original line-up, Townshend and Roger Daltrey, are now 70 and 71 years old respectively. If they had any hope of dying before they got old it has long since passed. Thankfully, My Generation sounds wonderfully rich and anthemic tonight, a perfect reminder of the pop writing super powers that The Who once possessed.
