If you’re a fan of Hello Kitty then we’ve got some good news for you – the character’s on her way to the big screen.
Yes, the popular Japanese creation – famed for her red bow and perfectly symmetrical whiskers – is being turned in to a film, due for release in 2019.
According to reports it’ll be brought to the screen by Hello Kitty creators Sanrio – who recently set up a US division – but it won’t come cheap, with the budget estimated to be between $160-$240m.
That’s a whole lot of cash for one kitty.
