Eagle-eyed viewers who tuned in to an old episode of Top Of The Pops on BBC4 were left confused and annoyed when they noticed that a comment made by The Who frontman Roger Daltrey had been edited out of the programme.
Daltrey had said ‘watch your backs’ just before a video of The Village People was shown and it is assumed that it was axed over potentially homophobic connotations which may have upset viewers.
