Some may love The Lion King, some may prefer Frozen, but for us, Pocahontas is still our favourite Disney film.
Forget those prissy Princesses strutting around in their beautiful dresses – Pocahontas is the one for us, and here’s why…
1. It teaches us important lessons
While arguably most Disney films contain vital messages about loyalty, friendship and family, Pocahontas touches on the serious issues of colonisation, culture and peace over war.
2. It has the best villain
The abhorrent Governor Ratcliffe and his obsequious right hand man are deliciously evil and we love watching them get overthrown.
3. It has such cute animals
With gorgeous Meeko and his irresistible noises, and the perfume-wearing pug, we learn that you can be friends no matter where you come from and how different you are.
