There were cheers and boos for Blur frontman Damon Albarn on the weekend as he was carried off stage – five hours after beginning his performance.
The singer was performing with his Africa Express side project at the annual Roksilde Festival, where he was joined by the likes of Laura Mvula and Blur bandmate Graham Coxon.
The set started around 11pm but Damon was still going at 4am, having taken to singing covers and Gorillaz tracks.
After a rousing performance of The Clash’s Should I Stay Or Should I Go, he told the crowd to protest as organisers began to make their way on to the stage.
