Asif Kapadia’s documentary Amy has garnered nearly as much media attention as the late singer’s life it documents.
Beginning with Amy Winehouse as a teen, the film charts her monumental rise to critical success and back down to her tragic fall and untimely death.
Over the years there has been a blame game as to who really contributed to her sad end, and after watching the film, there’s no doubt in most people’s minds that Amy and some of the people closest to her share a lot of the responsibility.
However, in an interview with Metro.co.uk, Asif suggests that maybe we the public were just as much a factor in her downfall.
