Deirdre Barlow has been written out of Coronation Street after the death of actress Anne Kirkbride.
One of the most beloved characters of the show, Deidre’s death was revealed on tonight’s episode.
Her friend Bev told Barlow’s on-screen husband Ken, played by Bill Roache, the devastating news that Deidre had died from an aneurysm.
The Barlows had been squabbling over plans for a surprise 60th birthday party to mark her return.
