Sofia Coppola is no longer directing the live action version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
According to Deadline the Lost In Translation director walked away from the project over – all together now – ‘creative differences’.
Universal Pictures are pressing ahead with the film regardless (time is money, after all) but we have to say we’re sad that Sofia isn’t in the driving seat for this one anymore. Maybe she wasn’t mainstream enough for the studio?
UGH it’s Ant-Man all over again.
