A Tumblr user has re-edited famous films to showcase Hollywood’s race problem.
Writer and performer Dylan Marron started off the sobering video series to work out why so few people of colour are featured in popular films.
The results are on his Tumblr Every Single Word, which chops down films like Ameircan Hustle, Her and (500) Days of Summer to show how much dialogue is spoken by people of colour.
Moonrise Kingdom clocks in at just 10 seconds while Noah and Into the Woods have none.
Marronn told The Guardian: ‘It’s taken off as such a cool thing, but bittersweet, too. You wish it never had to become a talked-about thing.’
