They say you always save the best ’til last, and that seems to be the case in the Suicide Squad trailer.
Because in the last few seconds Jared Leto’s Joker makes his demented first appearance, just as the haunting cover of The Bee Gees’ I Started A Joke wimpers the line ‘ if I’d only seen, that the joke was on me.’
But as soon as Leto says ‘oh, I’m not gonna kill ya’, we couldn’t help but think that he sounded a lot like his predecessor Heath Ledger, whose last great performance before his death was as The Joker in The Dark Knight.
