A crossover fighter featuring Naruto, Dragon Ball, and dozens of other manga series sounds like fan heaven, but is it a decent game?
One of the best excuses for bad games to hide behind is that they’re only meant for fans, either of the game itself or whatever licence it happens to be based on. And it’s true there is an awful lot of fan service in J-Stars Victory VS+, since it’s a crossover fighting game featuring characters taken from manga as diverse as Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Fist of the North Star. But that doesn’t mean it’s any good.
