No surprises here – Jesse Eisenberg has backtracked on his controversial comments comparing Comic-Con to genocide.
The Batman vs. Superman star told reporters at the Con last weekend that his time at the annual event was ‘like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history – probably like some kind of, you know, genocide.’
Now the Oscar nominee has tried to clarify his comments by telling the Associated Press: ‘I of course was using hyperbole to describe the sensory overload I experienced.
‘I sometimes do employ that. I’m a normal person who has normal sensory experiences, so Comic-Con was very overwhelming for me.’
