Maroon 5’s Jesse Carmichael might have just got his band banned from China, all because of 140 characters.
The group were supposed to be performing in Shanghai and Beijing, but their gigs have been mysteriously cancelled.
Even more curious – the cancellations coincided with the guitarist’s tweet to the Dalai Lama for his 80th birthday. The tweet, which was sent on July 4, said: ‘Happy Birthday America (and The Dalai Lama too) sang happy birthday to his holiness today’.
