The Outcast has come to an end and everyone is feeling depressed from the ‘heartbreaking’ drama

The Outcast has concluded with fans calling it ‘heartbreaking’ but ‘depressing’.

The second episode of the two-part drama, adapted from a Sadie Jones book, saw Lewis Aldridge (George MacKay) returning to Surrey from prison a changed man.

Unfortunately for poor Lewis his attempts to make amends didn’t go down too well with other residents or his father (Greg Wise).

TV viewers applauded Mackay and Jessica Barden’s acting and praised the superb BBC drama.
