The Godfather star Alex Rocco has died at the age of 79.
An Emmy award-winning actor, Alex played mobster and casino owner Moe Greene in the 1972 Oscar-winning film – and often credited the film for making his name.
Alex’s daughter Jennifer revealed the news on her Facebook page, writing:
She then went on to post numerous videos and pictures of her father’s wonderful career, which included work on Episodes, The Simpsons, A Bug’s Life, and The Wedding Planner.
Alex moved to Los Angeles from Massachusetts in 1960, where he trained under the late Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy. He won an Emmy in 1990 for his work on The Famous Teddy Z.
