Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding is about to make an explosive debut on the cobbles of Coronation Street and fulfills the ambition held by about 8 million fans – yep, she slaps Tracy Barlow.
The showdown occurs as Sarah’s character, Joni, is revealed as Robert Preston’s wife and she’s less than thrilled to discover what’s been going on between him and Tracy.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, Harding admitted to being nervous acting around long-standing Corrie stars, worrying that she would come across as amateur.
She said: ‘They are icons and they’re pros as well and I came in thinking “Oh my goodness, I’m so going to fluff my lines, I’m such an amateur!’”
