JoJo Siwa’s now ex-partner has revealed the Celebrity Big Brother star wanted to ‘marry’ them just weeks before splitting.
Earlier today, Kath Ebbs posted an emotional video announcing that they were no longer with JoJo, which comes after she grew close to Chris Hughes on the ITV show.
Actor Kath claims Dance Moms star JoJo, 21, broke off their relationship at the CBB wrap party – from which Kath was seen leaving alone – before they’d even got to a hotel room.
JoJo and 32-year-old Love Island star Chris Hughes’ friendship raised eyebrows among viewers who struggled to believe their relationship was solely platonic, with some even accusing JoJo of cheating on Kath.
It turns out the concern for the future of JoJo and Kath’s relationship was justified, as the latter stunned everyone less than 24 hours after the CBB final with their message.
Taking to social media, Kath said: ‘I don’t even know where to begin. I’m filming this in a complete state of shock, which I know is probably distressing and giving, “Go have a sleep”.

‘But I feel so numbed out right now and so disorientated that I feel like the only thing I have to do to place this situation is to finally address it after two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involved.
‘It seems to me I have experienced a version of [love bombing]. Being told I’m the love of someone’s life, being asked to marry them before this social experiment.
‘Being adored throughout behind closed doors. Being hurt by what I saw but wanting to work through it and have a conversation and get clarity.
‘To be met with, yeah, being further humiliated in a weird way. That’s more of a feeling, I don’t know if it’s fact.
‘In the last eight hours, I flew here and went to the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience and later on, address my feelings of hurt and work through them. Like all relationships do.

‘But before I could even get back to the hotel I… it’s actually crazy… I went to the afterparty with my now ex and was dumped in the party.
‘I was told there were confused feelings there and they had realised in the house I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable with.’
Meanwhile, JoJo has taken to TikTok with a skit about coming out of the Big Brother house, in which she didn’t acknowledge their breakup but said she wishes to stay in the UK.
‘What a 20 DAYS!!!! I’ve stayed awake all night seeing the love from you beautiful Britts!! And hearing that you guys like seeing the other side of my life is a relief, I’ve been a bit scared to show that side of me,’ she penned in the caption.
‘Thank you to my mom for taking over Tiktok for a bit:) honestly I think we’re going to 50-50 run this page together now.’
Kath has watched JoJo and Chris’ intense friendship grow over the past few weeks, with moments seeing them bonding alone in a hot tub, wiping away each other’s tears, and whispering into the night while in the same bed.
In his exit interview after placing sixth, Chris was grilled about their tactile bond but shut down speculation that there was more to it.
He told AJ Odudu and Will Best: ‘The thing that fascinated me the most about her was not the stuff that she’s done because I was still finding out the stuff she’s done yesterday, but it was what she’s been through as a teenager, and that’s similar to what my ex-girlfriend went through.’
As the audience whooped at the comparison, Chris quickly clarified.
He added: ‘She’s come through a lot, and she’s just a purely nice person. I’m saying the similarities in their personality and the person they are. From a friendship point of view, of course, I love her. I don’t mind admitting it.’
JoJo’s ‘confused feelings’ that Kath talked of have appeared in the series, as the star opened up about her gender identity and possibly being non-binary, and also saying that she realised she is ‘queer’ rather than a ‘lesbian’.
Talking in the house, she told Drag Race star Danny Beard: ‘I’ve never, I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian. I think you – I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.’
‘And I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L, and I’ve gone to the Q, baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.’
JoJo came out as pansexual in 2021 but has described herself as gay in recent interviews.
The couple went public in January this year, with JoJo saying she was ‘so happy’ and in a ‘very mature relationship’.
‘It’s taught me so much about life. It’s taught me so much about love and respect, and it’s a beautiful thing,’ she told People.
‘It’s different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn’t even know what to say the biggest is ‘cause just everything is so different and special.’
