Formula One star Jenson Button is rumoured to be in talks to co-host Top Gear with Chris Evans.
Daily Mail columnist Sebastian Shakespeare claimed Button was in the running for the coveted role.
A source told him: ‘An announcement is imminent.’
Button’s spokesman and the BBC have refused to comment on ‘speculation’ although the journalist noted that neither of them denied the rumours.
