Comedian John Oliver has taken some serious potshots at Fifa in the past – but this latest rant might just be the most scathing yet.
The funnyman’s newest outburst, which aired on Sunday’s edition of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, saw him take down the organisation once more as he described them as ‘an international crime syndicate who occasionally organises football matches’.
Ouch.
But he didn’t stop there, going on to focus on Sepp Blatter’s meeting with Vladimir Putin at the 2018 World Cup draw earlier this week – and just how friendly the pair seemed towards each other as Sepp thanked Putin for ‘making us happy and comfortable’.
