Sales of the PlayStation 4 have passed 25 million consoles, as Sony predicts close to 39 million by the end of next March.
Sony sold 3 million PlayStation 4 consoles over the last quarter, from April to June. That’s up from 2.7 million at the same time last year and, more importantly, it’s more than double the 1.4 million sold by the Xbox One and Xbox 360 combined.
The official lifetime sales for the PlayStation 4 is now put at 25.3 million units worldwide, just a day after Nintendo announced that the Wii U had hit 10.01 million – albeit after releasing a year earlier than its two rivals.
