Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy could well be staying with the X-Men franchise a little longer, according to reports.
The website Heroic Hollywood has claimed that the pair – who play Magneto and Professor Xavier in the blockbuster series – have signed up to reprise their roles in future X-Men movies after the next film X-Men: Apocalypse is released.
While nothing has been confirmed, it seems that Fassbender may previously have hinted about their willingness to remain in the Marvel universe – telling MTV News he was ‘always interested in moving forward’.
‘All of us signed on for a three-film deal, so let’s just wait and see what happens after this,’ he explained.
