Pong, Pac-Man, Tetris, and World Of Warcraft are amongst the others in the inaugural wave of classic video games being honoured in New York.
Surprisingly there hasn’t been a Video Game Hall of Fame up till now, and so The Strong museum in Rochester, New York has decided to fill the gap by honouring gaming’s most influential classics.
The first six games to be immortalised are Pong, Pac-Man, Tetris, Super Mario Bros., Doom, and World Of Warcraft.
All of which seems perfectly reasonable, although some of the runner-ups are more questionable: Angry Birds, FIFA, The Legend Of Zelda, Minecraft, The Oregon Trail, Pokémon, The Sims, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Space Invaders.
