The rumours are true. A rebooted version of 24 is on its way to screens – but it won’t feature the series’ main character Jack Bauer.
Speaking at the Fox Television Critics’ Association summer press tour, the network’s CEO Gary Newman confirmed the rumours – explaining that the new version of the real-time series would also feature all-new characters.
He added, however, that it had been Kiefer Sutherland – who has played Bauer for eight seasons of the show – who encouraged them to make the move.
