Actress Kelly Rutherford’s battle with the courts to keep her children in the US has taken a turn in her favour.
The former Gossip Girl star has found a legal loophole in order to flout a Monaco court which granted her ex-husband custody of their two children, after a California court relinquished jurisdiction.
In a statement published by People, Kelly, 46, writes: ‘no state in this country is currently protecting my children. It also means that no state in this country currently requires me to send the children away. Hence, I have decided that I cannot lawfully send my children away from the United States to live in a foreign country.”
