The city of Liverpool may be about to get a statue in honour of the late Cilla Black.
One of the city’s most treasured icons, Cilla sadly passed away on August 2 at her home in Spain and now locals are calling for a way to remember the star.
‘I think a statue would be a great way to honour Cilla. I thought she was fantastic and she always valued her Liverpool roots,’ Liverpudlian Margaret Dale told The Mirror. ‘As we have statues to other famous Liverpudlians, why not Our Cilla?’
