Benedict Cumberbatch has begged audience members to stop filming his performances of Hamlet because it’s putting him off his game.
The actor came to meet a crowd of fans outside the Barbican’s stage door asking them to film his message and ‘hashtag the s*** out of it’ to spread the word on social media.
In a clip, uploaded to YouTube, he started off saying: ‘Can I ask you all a huge favour?’
He then pleaded: ‘What I really want to do is try and enlist you.
‘I don’t use social media, and I’d really appreciate it if you could tweet, blog and hashtag the s*** out of this one for me.’
