Over 21,000 people have signed a petition calling for a boycott of director Roland Emmerich’s gay rights film Stonewall.
Angry LGBT activists claim the film, which charts the famous 1969 riots that led to the beginning of the gay liberation movement, has ‘whitewashed’ the protest and left out important black and Latino transgender figures.
After watching the trailer, Pat Cordova-Goff has launched a petition calling for cinemagoers not to ‘support a film that erases our history’.
