Cilla Black’s family have released details of the star’s funeral, urging fans to come out and celebrate her life.
The singer and TV personality will be laid to rest in St Mary’s Church, Woolton on Thursday August 20. It was originally thought the ceremony would be held at the same church as her late husband Bobby’s funeral in Buckinghamshire, but her sons confirmed she’d be returned to her hometown. St Mary’s is the church the pair married back in 1969.
Following the ceremony, conducted by the Right Reverend Thomas Williams at 1pm, she’ll be buried next to her parents in the nearby Allerton cemetery.
