The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is heading back to TV screens.
Will Smith, the original star of the hit 90s sitcom, is behind the new project but won’t be in front of the cameras this time round acting only as executive producer along with his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett.
According to TVLine, his company Overbrook Entertainment are in the ‘very early stages’ of developing the reboot, which would be a modern-day take on the show that would retain the ‘spirit of the original’.
Overbrook is reportedly finalising its pitch now and is expected to shop it around to networks within the next few weeks.
