The military shooter is almost looking like an endangered species this year. Call Of Duty is set further in the future than it’s ever been, to the point where Metal Gear Solid V almost seems more grounded, and DICE is of course making Battlefront instead of Battlefield. Which means Rainbow Six’s long awaited return couldn’t have been better timed, as, in more ways than one, it makes counter-terrorism seem fresh again.
