Live TV is tough and this poor anchor knows it.
It was a perfectly innocent segment about lettuce being grown on the International Space Station. A news anchor discussed the benefits of astronauts now being able to grow their own food in a space garden.
The piece talked about the importance of these space guys being able to eat fresh food while miles above the Earth’s atmosphere in what could have been a highly interesting and informative segment.
However, one anchor’s unfortunate choice of words gave the segment a whole other meaning.
Once the VT of the scientific breakthrough had ended, the anchor commented: ‘Well it’s better than eating food grown on Uranus.’
