The man believed to be responsible for the brutal ‘exorcism murder’ of Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter has been identified.
Lamar Davenport was E’Dena Hine’s live-in boyfriend and was arrested for the apparently cocaine-fuelled attack in Washington Heights on Sunday morning.
George Hudacko reportedly saw the 3am attack from his window and called 911 after witnessing Davenport, 30, allegedly stab Hines, 33, while screaming biblical verses: ‘Get out, devils. In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out’.
According to the New York Post, the boyfriend continued to stab Hines’ body 16 times right up until police arrested him. A law enforcement source told the newspaper he was believed to be high on cocaine at the time.
The rapper’s friend Ray Rosario was out with the couple the night before and told The Daily Beast: I’m still trying to come to grips with what happened. I’m caught between the hate I have for him, my love for him being my brother, and my heart breaking for her.’
