Straight Outta Compton, the biopic about rap outfit N.W.A, has just become the biggest ever August debut for an R-rated film in America.
The film grossed $56.1 million in 2,757 cinema theatres taking the R-rated crown from American Pie 2 which was released in 2001.
That figure also means the film beat Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’s opening weekend box office.
