BBC presenter Victoria Derbyshire has revealed that she is due to undergo a mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 46-year-old, whose daily news show Derbyshire is aired on both the BBC News Channel and BBC Two, broke the news of her condition via social media last night.
‘Hi, have been diagnosed with breast cancer and am having a mastectomy in a few weeks,’ she told her followers on Twitter.
‘Family, friends, work and NHS staff are being brilliant.’
