There’s no sign of him being added to Super Smash Bros. yet but indie favourite Shovel Knight is getting a new co-op mode on Wii U.
The Wii U might not be selling as much as Nintendo hoped but amiibos are, and the first one based on an indie game has just been revealed: Shovel Knight.
It’s actually been rumoured for quite a while, and the character is also one of the most popular in the public vote for a new Super Smash Bros. DLC character – although his inclusion in the game has not been mentioned publicly.
In fact we’d assume it’s now probably less likely, if they went to the trouble of announcing the amiibo first.
