They took part in a reality TV show in order to combat their obsessive compulsive disorder, but for Lesley and Tuesday Turner it became so much worse.
The mother and daughter appeared in series two of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, which aired in 2013, and now spend more time cleaning than ever before.
Lesley, 54, and Tuesday, 24, say that they use twice as much cleaning product and work 14 hours every day making their house spick and span.
‘They have traumatised us,’ Lesley told The Sun on Sunday, ‘The producers swabbed all kinds of public places to show us where the most germs were.
‘They believed we should confront our fears but it just made us realise how filthy places were outside. It has made things worse at home too.
‘I’m exhausted. I spend around 14 hours a day cleaning and only manage three hours’ sleep a night.’
