Rob Da Bank is urging campers at Bestival to donate their tents after the festival to help the refugee crisis in Calais.
There are approximately 3000 migrants camped at the French port attempting to reach the UK by crossing the Channel, but after the Sangette camp was shut down in 2002 by former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, refugees have set up a make-shift camp known as ‘the Jungle’.
Bestival organisers are asking festival goers to donate any spare tents, mats, wellies and other left over camping supplies when the annual music event comes to a close on Sunday September 13.
