Hollywood sexism is a prevalent issue in the film industry right now, with the likes of Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson and other high profile actresses and filmmakers pointing out the discrimination.
For M. Night Shyamalan, this is a subject he’s more than aware of and so has made conscious steps to make sure his films not only showcase strong women in front of the camera, but use talented women behind it.
